"Oh, little lady... Haven't you realized?" Howard sighed as he stared at her and took her hand. "Your family? It's right here." He pushed her finger towards her chest. "It's in there, never far."

Did this little girl not already know how strong she was? How strong she really was? Her life was just beginning, and she had already opened and closed so many doors. She would grow past this. She'd always be broken, but those cracks would be filled with the molten gold of a second family, one day.

It was tragic.

Not her experience with loss and family, no. It was heartbreaking to know that this little girl had abandoned a carefree life in favor of Team Rocket, only to attempt to claw back towards that ideal. She was still growing up, she had time to piece herself back together into a better member of society. In fact, she was already beginning to.

It wasn't that her ideals were childish. Arceus above, she was just like Isaac Merlo . Honest and desperately hoping for that ideal solution that simply did not exist. Despite it, Howard wanted to believe in such a perfect dream and belief.

No, it was tragic that Howard would never get this chance himself. He was an adult who made traded morality for a chance to pursue his dream. He was damned, no matter what the heartfelt pleas of Eris cried out.

But no, he couldn't destroy that dream. Children learned about dinosaur bones early, and that fantastic childlike imagination kept them interested in the world of archaeology until maturity stole that away.

"Yeah, Eris. Let's go on an adventure, sometime. Far away from here. No matter what, I'll always be your friend. Let's travel soon, alright?"
