While they were going at it their training had, unsurprisingly, garnered some attention. Whether it be people passing by who were curious as to what they were up to or the occasional Pokémon that was wondering what all the ruckus was, Adam was used to stopping and going at this point to handle whomever might have showed up. This time a cute little Tepig was watching the group as it was passing on through. ”Hey there little buddy!” Adam said as he approached the curious piglet.

”Enjoying the show, huh?” He asked, pulling something out of his pocket as he did so. ”How about a treat for the road then?” The man would offer the treat to the Tepig who was a bit cautious at first but after sniffing the treat and deeming it safe to eat the pig happily accepted the offer and continued on its merry way. ”See ya later little buddy!” Adam waved so long to his little friend.

Before Adam could get comfortable another Pokémon appeared, this time it was a Rapidash. But something about this Rapidash wasn’t right; the Pokémon was walking with a limp! It’s front right leg seemed beat up, probably from a battle.

Adam hoped it was just from a simple fight with another wild Pokémon and not some sort of poacher or anything like that. ”Woah there! You can’t be running around on that banged up leg!” The Rapidash had run into the area only stopping due to from what Adam could figure the pain its leg was causing it. He cautiously walked up to the Pokémon, trying to appear as least threatening as he could.

”Soul, get over and help out will ya?” The silver-haired male called out to his Lucario, the Pokémon quickly coming to the man’s side. ”Use Heal Pulse on that leg.” He ordered, walking to where he left his bag to pull out some medical equipment. The Rapidash was tense at first, almost lashing out at the man and the Lucario but after the Lucario began to heal the Rapidash the Pokémon calmed down.

As Soul did his magic Adam was busy wrapping some bandages around the Pokémon’s leg. ”Soul’s work should be all you really need but this will help with any sort of swelling or residual pain. And it’s biodegradable so no need to worry about the trash.” He’d flash the horse Pokémon a bright smile.

After both of their work was done the Rapidash was on its way, seemingly in higher spirits which brought another smile to Adam’s face.

It was time to pack things up and head on home. Today had been productive and whatever stops they had in their training was worth it so all in all a good ass day. But today wasn’t quite over just yet there was one more thing they were going to have to tackle.

Their final sudden appearance would be a Growlithe and one that looked like it had seen its fair share of battles. ”Well hey there pup! How can I help you?” Adam already knew the answer to that question, he could tell by the look in the Growlithe’s eye that it was aching for a battle.

”Oh so it’s going to be like that huh? Alrighty then! I’ve got no problem with that.” And it seemed like the Pokémon had also already picked its opponent as well. The Growlithe was staring daggers at Soul.

”Man I don’t know what’s up with you lately and fire types but they seem to all have it out for you buddy.” Adam remarked, looking back to his Lucario who accepted the Growlithe’s challenge and step towards it. The Growlithe already looked to be on the attack, charging at Soul as its body began to become engulfed in flames.

”alright then, detect!” A simple order but a powerful one as the move allowed Soul to completely avoid the Growlithe’s attempt at a Flame Wheel causing the pup to miss its mark. ”Now counter with Extreme Speed.” And as quick as the Lucario was on the defensive it was now time to change it up.

And what felt faster than a blink of an eye the Lucario vanished and reappeared on the other side of the Growlithe the pup only seconds after reacting the flurry of attacks Soul unleashed. The Growlithe was one heck of a scrapper as it managed to regain its footing.

It retaliated, going for a Crunch attack. ”Let’s wrap this up with an Aura Sphere.” The commanded attack clashed with the Growlithe and once the smoke cleared up it was obvious who the victor was. Impressed with the performance by the fire type Adam threw an empty capsule at it in hopes of catching it.
