A large gash bled through bandages, sitting on Temp's side as he pressed receivers to his ears. A frown, the staticky voices too low and out of range to make out.[break][break]

It was a break from battle, just long enough to get patched up. Ice still stuck at the base of his hair and fingers raw.[break][break]

Winded, but still doing his best to stay strong. To stay serious for his goals.[break][break]

He shakes his head and pulls the headset off, offering it back to THEO BECKETT.[break][break]

the chances of doing so successfully hinges on their condition, and as of this moment, it remains low.

a pokeball flashes open, summoning a HEAL PULSE from his bayleef to looks to help slow down the bleeding from the gash.

The Bayleaf does not inspire anxiety as it does in so many other. The Heal Pulse helps him breath a little easier. Later, with Amor Rose, the wound would reopen. But for now, here with THEO BECKETT, it takes away some of the soreness.[break][break]

He grunts softly as he tests the wound. A nod and Tempest calls out his Sandy Shocks. The strange Paradox pokemon's trio of eyes lock onto Theo, unblinking. It inches forward on it's odd steel limbs, tilting it's head in some curiosity.[break][break]

"I'm ready, sir."[break][break]

But, the dream mist encroaches.[break][break]

A dark shadow, massive, passes by before vanishing. Whale song echoes in the distance.

[attr="class","beckmain"]the bayleef is replaced with a small darumaka that quickly hops up on theo's shoulder, looping around his neck before nodding. despite its size, the darumaka is a nasty pokemon that packs a punch.

"let's move."

slowly and carefully, they venture back into the INTERDREAM MIST, doing their best to remain stealthy. but the odd sounds of the mist are making it difficult to.

that, and the PARADOX POKEMON that awaits them.

he stops, raising a hand to indicate for temp to do the same. he listens, trying to locate the source of what's about to attack them.

They move. The ground is still sand underfoot. A good sign? Or perhaps not?[break][break]

Whale song again, closer.[break][break]

From the mist before them, a large pink creature materializes. It looks almost like a Jigglypuff. Almost. It's eyes light up when it spots the two of them, some malicious in it's eyes as it floats upward and for them.[break][break]

Except it never makes it to THEO BECKETT or Tempest.[break][break]

A dark, clawed foot grabs it and crushes. The creatures explodes in spray of pink mist and blood.[break][break]

Looming over them is Lugia.[break][break]

She is smaller, here, her shape twisted and strange. Smaller, somehow, even as she looms down over the two of them.[break][break]

Tempest frowns when the guardian of the sea leans down, a red eye gleaming.[break][break]

"I don't think that's real."[break][break]

But it's too late. A storm has already rolled in. Freezing cold water pouring down over top of them.[break][break]

Yet, still, there is something else looming in the mist.

Giggling erupts from around them when they listen.[break][break]

Faces twist in the mist, inhuman and warped in shadows. Dozens of eyes peering at the two of them with hateful glares. This isn't an attack just....[break][break]

Well, Tempest had no idea what in the fuck this was.[break][break]

"The hell?"[break][break]

Tempest gives a concerned glance over to THEO BECKETT. This hadn't come from his subconscious. Had it come from the other's? Was it something unrelated?[break][break]

Regardless, they still had the Lugia to deal with. Her black scales shine, even as she cries out from the Superpower hitting her.[break][break]

a Springtide Storm swirls around her, biting and sharp as it goes to push them away.[break][break]

The Paradox pokemon at Tempest's side tries to fire off a Tri Attack at the Lugia in return.

choosing to focus on the lugia, he watches its ANCIENT POWERS rise to send large mounds of earth barreling toward them.

his darumaka, though small, is only able to dodge a fair few of them as it continues to get batted back.

one of the watchful eyes from before become more tangible; they reach out to grasp at temp, looking to pull them toward nothing in particular.

Something grabs him. It is out of habit that Tempest tenses up, draws a fist to slam into the face (or approximation) of whatever is trying to pull him. The thing, startled enough, pulls back and let's go. Tempest takes a few steps closer to THEO BECKETT; hoping the proximity would mean they could assist each other.[break][break]

Lugia's doppelganger roars again, mist swirling around her teeth. An Air Slash is aimed at the Darumaka, razor sharp.[break][break]

The mist starts to thin.[break][break]

"I think it's fading." Maybe if they could hold out for a little longer, whatever this was would pass.

in other words, they flee, deciding on the safer option as they make their way back to one of their encampments.
