Bold words for someone that was both injured and whose mythical Pokemon probably should have won by now. Still, all the dodging just made the battlefield somewhat hazardous for the monkey, since the flames were turning the sand into glass. Everyone knows that broken glass was a hazard to anything not protected with boots or gloves. The final attack did land, but the Zarude was closer to Magias. Much closer. Instead of striking at it though, the whips came at him. With a small, terrifying smile and head tilt, the blonde made sure his voice was loud enough to carry. "Predictable." A portal opened up to the side, a wooden arm and claws swinging out, already drenched in sharp shadows that was Shadow Claw, slicing the vines to pieces before they reached the kid. The motion also sent a rippling of air at the Rocket duo. His Trevenant made his appearance. Even his powered up Flutter Mane was sweating from the tree's appearance. But it did allow a clean switch. Returning Magias, he released a Skarmory, flying through the air. From the step back...the guy wanted out of here. Probably hoped that the direct attack at his person would scare him into running off. Ha! "Spikes. Including around him." Skarmory was surprised by the command, but did so, shining briefly before turning the Rocket's half of the glassy spotted field into a spiky pit. And around the guy as well. He'd have to be careful when escaping, but doable. His Treveanant stayed by him in a defensive stand, and seemed to be on the lookout everywhere, just in case the Rocket had another Pokemon out, just hidden away somewhere, much like he was.
