• petite, cute, and small! stands at 5'0" / 152 cm, but sometimes appears taller when wearing certain types of shoes!
• big round doe eyes, bright pink, long-lashed, and often full of emotion! they have a natural shine to them, making her more of a starry-eyed girl than a heart-eyed one!
• naturally, her pink hair is shoulder-length with a sweeping fringe! anything longer, and she's wearing hair extensions! next to her natural length and style, her hair is often worn in long straight strands that reach her mid-back!
• loves fashion and accessories, with a strong preference for bracelets and hair clips. also a huge fan of bows and frills!
• dresses feminine for the most part, leaning towards a cute-casual or cute-dressy style (lots of dresses, skirts, blouses, shorts, and overalls...but just anything cute, really)! heavily influenced by girly-kei and gothic lolita, as well!
• guilty of over-packing her bags, regardless of the occasion. especially likes to have her costume trunk, makeup bag, and accessory bag at the ready whenever possible.

momo sakai had always wanted to be a coordinator. she was five years old when she watched her first contest broadcast on live tv, and she remembered the way the coordinators and their pokemon dazzled the stages, smiling and showing off their perfect teamwork! it was inspiring, it was exciting, it was uplifting! it was everything she wanted for herself, so it was decided that she'd put her everything into becoming a coordinator when she got older! since then, she'd been to many smaller contests and local competitions, but momo would never feel satisfied until she went all out! she had her eye set on hoenn or sinnoh, where the contest scene really heated up, and planned to go there accordingly when the time was right. [break][break]

but life didn't give her a chance to anticipate this happy future. her home region, kanto, was compromised by the nefarious team rocket: its landscaping changed, its people displaced. it had been a troubling time for everyone, and momo counted herself among the lucky: the survivors. despite surviving, however, the madness still followed after her in the form of screams that would get mixed up in her head—were those the excited cheers of a crowd, or the desperate cries of people trying to flee? her parents survived, as well, but at a cost: their home was lost, leaving them no choice but to flee to their extended family's home in sinnoh, and stay there indefinitely until the situation in kanto settled down (if it ever did). momo, having been a bit older at that time, was welcome to join them or go somewhere else if that's what her heart wanted. [break][break]

to be honest, she didn't know what she wanted, just that she was afraid of ruining the peace of home. she was afraid that things might not ever be the same, so rather than join her parents and confirm her worst fears, she went to hoenn, instead, where the contest scene was still buzzing, where she could journey on her own and not worry about affecting anyone else around her. [break][break]

and so she ended up in hoenn, oblivious to the conflict stirring within the region, and at some point, stuck in the place she'd chosen even when things did get dire. but it wasn't all bad, because she had her friends, her pokemon, and her dreams to look forward to. and what could be better than that?
