once a successful lorekeeper of the region, petra's studies gradually came into decline, devolving into malpractice that stemmed from the obsession to impress her uncle ULYSSES MONROE. She'd only spoken with him once before going off to university and studying abroad, funded by his great legacy.[break][break]

when she finally returned from studying abroad in the kanto-johto area, she was given her first warm welcome not by her uncle, but dahlia goode. it was the first time someone acknowledged her. gave petra something more than money, but her ear and trust. petra developed feelings for the commissioner, but soon learned that it could never work. dahlia was too busy, and petra monroe was much too needy.[break][break]
