Why were there very few places where Rock-type Pokémon spawned that were not near Mount Chimney?!

(See: the burning hellfire underbelly that was Mount Chimney’s lower levels!)

Thankfully this place was near Verdanturf so he could run home as needed…

Why was the ground quaking?

He had to do a double-take as a colossal-sized Tyrantrum came crashing down the way—

“Mamma mia,” he yelped as he quickly dove out of the way. Geez, what had them pelting down the way in an extreme hurry? What was up with that shit?

Anyway… it definitely was not the salty one that he was looking for! Either way, he would continue his search.

It didn’t take too long for him to find something else rampaging in the wake of the Tyrantrum…

“Are you kidding me, what’s going on?!” he yelped as for the second time today, he had to dive out of the way of a charging Rhydon came running after not too long after the Tyrantrum had left.

“Yeesh, it’s like someone came out of nowhere charging with a spear and like, decided to go on a mass rampage…” he huffed as he recovered himself after the Rhydon had bolted into the underbush.

He blinked at the sight of the Swirlix. Wait. Wait one second.

Sure, he could understand why Tyrantrum would run away from this, due to its pure-Fairy typing, but Rhydon? Was he missing something here? He blinked out of sheer confusion. Honestly, sometimes Pokémon were still damned weird…

(And did anyone even love something that looked like a walking pile of cotton candy goo?)

He sighed as he dusted himself down, and continued his search for the one thing that he would bring home.
