MARCH UPDATE

Aaron had managed to win a ticket to this thing. He had sworn that there was no way he'd make use of this place, but here he was. And he didn't want to make anyone feel bad, since he did kind of won this ticket with the help of his brother and mother. So with a heavy sigh, he came here to use it up. With him today was his trusty starter Trevenant. The blonde didn't want any trouble here, so he figured this would be the best way to do it. Have his strongest out to keep him protected, wonder around, maybe find some ghosts that he didn't have or was looking for more to have, and then go home. It was dusk, about to be nighttime, the favorite time for most ghost-type Pokemon. Steel types would suit him just fine too, but he didn't think the place had enough of those either to make a trip worthwhile. Walking behind him was his tree, and the teenager just wandering around aimlessly...just how quickly was he going to find anything of interest to him?

Aaron continued to walk, finding a rocky area. Looking for a way down, he was suddenly scooped up by his Trevenant, and Phantom Force used to get them down from the cliff that they were on. Looking around, he saw an overly aggressive Yamask jump down. Setting Ace down, the Trevenant fired off a Horn Leech. The glowing branch twisted and turned, even as chunks of it was being blasted apart. One hit was all it took to get it down and twitching. Aaron threw a Safari Ball. He may have already had one, but he could set it up and train it differently. Once captured, he moved on. A good tanky pokemon for setups and strategies. The one that he used against Josh was his Trick Room setup. He didn't lose a single Pokemon that match, but he did come close. Ace probably should be contemplating challenging another gym. Maybe he'll wait for Kee to get another one before doing one...oh well.

Nighttime was approaching. He still had plenty of time, though. So he and his Trevenant continued on. They soon passed a cave, and of course Zubat swarmed on out. They...mostly ignored him. But seeing as neither Aaron or his tree was threatening them, they didn't attack. A few did perch on his tree. Trevenant didn't seem to mind, and the scene was quite humorious. Taking out his phone, he took a picture of the scene. It was cool to see, even if Zubat weren't his preferred Pokemon. While he had his safari balls off to the side, a Zubat got a bit close to it. And tapped it, going in accidentally. Panicking, he tried to release it, to no avail. Well...maybe someone was willing to trade for his Zubat...

Well, after that little mishap, the duo continued on their way. He only had two safari balls left. A ghosty ghost in and a zubat...Aaron wasn't happy about the zubat, but whatever. Getting into some grasslands, maybe he'd find something here. Plenty of nighttime Pokemon around...but no ghosts or steel types. That was unfortunate. But something pink caught his eye. Looking up...it was a shiny Murkrow. Oh...that was rare. Shinies didn't happen very often, and were highly valued. Maybe he could get something out of that. Nodding at his Tree, the Trevenant roared out a challenge. The Murkrow glared at the pokemon then dove down in a Brave Bird. Shadow Claws met the attack, and Trevenant won the exchange. Using Leech Seed on it, the Murkrow countered with Wing Attack. A Drain Punch knocked it down, and that was when Aaron made his move to capture it.

Trevenant used Ingrain to regain any energy he had lost from the battle. Thankfully, they had kept the collateral damage low to non-existant. To continue to do this, Ace just waited until his tree was done. It was neat to see wild Tarountula start to make webs and nests. He had heard that Scyther try to feed on this little guys, but the threads of the silk deflect the blades. Pretty handy and cool. Aaron hoped that he would be similar to that...defying predators. Just to a more...extreme way. He had a burning hatred for Rocket due to what they did to Eris. Granted, he also had some beef with the League as well. They may need strong trainers...but those trainers also needed to follow certain rules. Something a particular Elite Four member evidently had a problem with. Red string did catch his attention, but he didn't want to use his last safari ball on a shiny. Even one as cool looking as a Tarountula's...

Ace and his tree continued on, careful to not disturb anything. Moving past the Tarountula, he found some ruins of some sort. That was always a good omen. Even if they weren't ruins, just decoration for Pokemon to inhabit, it was a good place to check out. He did see a Deino, and moved around it. He didn't need to deal with that mess. They liked to bite, and he really didn't want to waste his last safari ball. Accidentally or not.

Moving on, he continued to explore for a ghost. He just wanted one more to make this trip worth it! Otherwise, it would be such a waste of money. This is why he hated the Safari Zone. At least normal searching didn't cost money. They found a tower that was pretty high up. Returning Trevenant, he decided to climb it, just to see what was up there. If nothing else, he'll get a good view of the nighttime.

As he climbed the ladder, Ace was hearing a wierd noise. Reaching the first platform, he looked around to see if maybe he could find the source of it. No such luck, it looked like it was coming from above. Sounding so distressed. Poor baby. He did find an odd coin on the ground though. Picking up, he looked at it a bit more closely. Wait, wasn't this coin a...a small glint in his eyes, he almost enthusiastically jumped the ladder to the top most platform. There on the edge was a Gimmighoul. But no coin. With a sharp whistle, Aaron got the little ghosty's attention. The roaming wittle guy spun around to see the blonde. In the moonlight, Ace flipped the coin up, caught it, and showed it to the ghoul.

It excited jumped down and ran to him as Aaron kneeled down. He set the coin on the ground in front of him. The ghoul grabbed the coin and hugged it. That was when Ace smacked it with a Safari Ball. Surprise!
