But she doesn't say anything out loud to him. How can you meet someone you're already met?[break][break]

Tempest glances at the other Cillian, so strange and not at all like his husband. A small smile is offered in condolences. Would this Cillian stay alone his whole life? Or would he marry someone else? Tempest wasn't an option for him in this universe. They couldn't be soulmates in this world. It both saddens and confounds him.[break][break]

But he only has eyes for Aurora, after that.[break][break]

"I'll miss you. I'll keep missing you." Is offered. Aurora stares at him in the same way Tempest stares at her; not really at the other, but at an echo of what was lost.[break][break]

"I will, too." She replies.[break][break]

A steady breath as thunder gives a dying crack overhead.[break][break]

"I love you."[break][break]

He loved you. Sits between his words.[break][break]

"I love you, too."[break][break]

She loves you, too. Sits between hers.[break][break]

The Kyogre gives one final whale songs before throwing itself upwards, crashing down into the water in a great wave.[break][break]

The storm vanishes. The water is still, only the patterning of a calm rain on the skin.

Rarely was a government content to let its citizens attain power beyond their control. He imagined that was true in most places.[break][break]

Though he tenses slightly at Kyogre's call, he relaxes after recontextualizing it as a friendly warning, and not a battle-cry as he was used to. Amber eyes flick skyward, watching as the storm clears.[break][break]

"Time for us to go, I guess." He wishes they could stay longer, that Tempest Quinn could talk to his sister and learn about her life. About their mother, in this world. All the things he'd been denied in his own. But it wasn't to be. "It was good to meet you, Aurora."[break][break]

Kyogre's warning call becomes the familiar, haunting cry of Shadow Lugia as the world shifts around them.
