Normally Kaz just took Ranger jobs as they came his way but when he heard that they were looking for help with work at Meteor Falls he leapt at the chance to go. It had been a long while since he came to his old stomping grounds, nostalgia for them was at an all time high. Over time the place had undergone changes yet there were still pockets of places left untouched that he recognized. He was pretty much dragging emmett brookes by the arm as they made their way through the inside.

"And that waterfall always has a bunch of Wishiwashi trying to climb it. You stare at it long enough and you'll see them school up and try to make it to the top." Sure enough while they were far from it little specks of fish could be seen jumping from the basin up the waterfall.

"Plus this place makes one heck of a campsite. The ambiance is incredible." The sound of rushing water and roaring Pokemon was like music to his ears. Honestly maybe once this job was done he would come out here and spend a few nights. Speaking of which...

"So...like...what was the job here again?" He might have gotten too into reliving memories to actually remember why he was here.

Should he be glad that his partner is strangely motivated and doing all the talking? But the way they seem to have far too much to say about this environment is kind of worrying. What if they don't ever think to stop -[break][break]

"Maybe new species decided to move in." He did his best to stay on track of their job now that he wasn't gushing nostalgic. Still thinking about this area there were many answers to this question, "Maybe something in the landscaped changed?" It was a big place after all, they would probably be here a while.

"...lue..."

Kaz froze in place and looked back at Emmet with a quizzical look on his face. "What did you say?"

"Red...or Blue?" The voice was carried by an ominous wind and seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere. "Uh...red? Where the hell is that coming from?"

"Pink? Y'know what I think i'd pick that too. Hey voice?! Do different shades count or no?! C'mon throw us a bone here! We like multiple choice!" Kaz screamed to whoever was out there speaking to them. Where ever they may be.

Then a ring appeared before them and seemed to grow by the second. Kaz just blinked at it and when a horde of crabs started to spill out he scrambled backwards as they snapped at his ankles. "Whoa whoa whoa! Think it hated me asking!" He whips out a ball that opens to release his Feraligatr Kaiju who takes one look at the crabs and squints.

Then he licks his lips.

An ice fang takes one into his jaws as he thrashes around with it throwing it to the side before snapping at another one to do the very same to it. They tasted earthy. It wasn't a good kind of earthy as well. Still he was bound to find some that tasted alright. Kaz on the other hand just looked over one of his victims and tilted his head as he dropped a Pokeball on one of them, watching it get sucked up into the orb as it rolled along the ground. "At least we know they're real Pokemon."

Lately you could never be too sure what was real or fake.

Well, there's the whole 'crazy' part of Hoenn coming into play. The flood of crabs spilling through the ring makes Na'au quail and squeak, hurriedly ducking behind Emmett's legs as if she's still that tiny Eevee that can simply hide from danger's line of sight. And so, he has to defer to Mahina, the Umbreon huffing at her sister's behaviour before letting loose a Dark Pulse.[break][break]

"Isn't it worse if they're real? You know that whole... introducing foreign species into environments they're not meant to be in?" He's no genius on how it works, but he knows just about enough elementary-level science to understand that the balance of the eco-system can probably be tipped with such occurrences. "And well, think of just how many people might get jumpscared by an Ursaring being dropped on their heads."

"When you put it like that that's probably fair." Crabs were one thing. Bears were a whole different problem all together. "Unless its Teddiursa, that'd be better cause those guys are adorable."

There was the fact they brought up about ecosystems and all that about these Klawf just ending up here. Honestly that sort of stuff was something that was pretty far away for Kaz to even imagine. Nature just seemed to work itself out...'cept when it didn't. "You really think a dozen of these things can be that bad? I'd say we're taking care of them pretty well so the wildlife here could probably do the same."

As he said that his Feraligatr let loose a hydro pump to blast a trio of the crabs over their heads and have them land in a small pond a few feet away. The gator just jumped back and forth on his feet flexing his arms and letting out a hearty growl and a laugh.
