The vaporizing HYPER BEAM shattered the bridge, its extreme force eating through Rielle's thick ice - the only thing protecting her and Shalin from being reduced to a pile of bleached bones as they went catapulting into the air. If Xenon was looking in their direction, all they would be able to see would be a distant splash. A very distant splash. So distant that it would be impossible to tell whether it was the ice floe, the intact bodies of Shalin and Rielle, their skeletal remains, or a combination of the above.

Shalin and Rielle had survived the HYPER BEAM, but barely. The Shiny Vaporeon's facial fins and tail had been mostly burned away, and the sides of both Shalin's lower arms were likewise vaporized, exposing the bone beneath. She was in excruciating pain as she washed up upon the shore, radioing on the League's emergency frequency to get immediate help in dealing with her life-threatening injuries. The League had lost another brave fighter to the bloody battle's fury. Though she did not lose her life, her capacity to fight had been reduced to zero. She and her Vaporeon would later find themselves transferred to Dewford Regional Hospital, both of them requiring extensive skin grafts in order to have working limbs and a normal-looking face and tail again...

LONG-TERM INJURY

Rielle the Shiny Vaporeon's facial fins and tail have been defaced in the Battle of Resurfaced Treasures. These will require a major surgery to repair. While recovering from her surgery, Rielle the Shiny Vaporeon loses her HYDRATION ability, she CANNOT SWIM, and she CANNOT USE WATER-TYPE ATTACKS. This Injury can be removed no sooner than MAY 25, 2024.
