Conflict was not something that could be easily avoided within the eyes of Oracelies, especially when it involved leeches making their way into a freshly resurfaced gift of the oceantide. Holding onto the sharp protrusions lining the back of the Gyarados, her apex partner, the two strode through the exterior waves approaching the vessel of chaos that was the island; there were foreign ships just as there were familiar, ripe with both cargo, allies, and wretched foes. She had already sunk one of the ships firing at a league boat from behind, allowing them to meet the fate of everything else swept to the bottom of the sea, and there were many more that she felt needed to meet the same. Sacrifices for the great one, which glimmered all around her, tainted by war and strays.[break][break]

"You plague my goddess, vile leeches." She surfaced on the back of the beast next to another foreign ship, calling out to those aboard with a golden, seashell-adorned megaphone. By the grace of the one she worshipped effervescently, she was overconfident in her stern words. "To become a sacrifice to her, or to flee from the ancient shores- that is your choice to make, quickly." Matching her threatening tone, the Gyarados hosting her onlooking gaze released its RAIN DANCE, allowing dark clouds with glistening tears to begin their downpour.

They could not quite find her. There was some rogue League agent casting destruction to their ships. Water-type pokemon returned injured, grunts returning barely with their limbs intact.

[break][break] It was not a main League ship; that much was sure. If it was, they could've already pinned them down.

[break][break] Some considered dispatching from the ship to go investigate, but the Admin held them back. If his suspicions held true, she would come to them.

[break][break] After all, prey only acted like prey for so long. Eventually, they became predators too.

[break][break] Violet eyes gleamed down on the woman that finally surfaced aside one of their ships, atop a beast of her own. Rain splashes down on them, and his heel boot rests atop the edge of the boat.

[break][break] "Our choice?" he echoes, the gleam of his sword glistening with water by his side. "I think not."

[break][break] A growl as the Ultra Beast appeared behind him. In his hand, he tossed a pokeball into the water as his Oshawott swam beneath the seas.

The man's brandishing of his sword and unwillingness to forfeit his position in the waters manifested a feeling of anger up her spine, but like him, Oracelies was unwilling to forfeit hers. Her attendance came with orders and responsibilities, but the leeches tainting the waters with motivations so explicitly wrong made it flow into personal waters. "And I will make many. Choices are choices," she called out to him in response, smoke billowing through the lips of the draconic beast, ".. and you will come to regret the one you just made."[break][break]

Thrashing through the waters that crashed upon its body, glimmering fractals of water poured out of the mouth of the Gyarados as it attempted to roar a HYDRO PUMP at the Nihilego that had appeared behind the man, and maybe him as well. A wish to crack it in half with all the forces of saltwater, just as many inflicted upon Slowpokes to harvest their Slowpoke Tails.

The strength of the HYDRO PUMP crashes ceremoniously against the Ultra Beast. The Nihilego roars with pain, flying back against a panel of grunts who had come sprinting out of the desk in attempts to protect their Admin.

[break][break] "Regret?" he echoes. "Foolish girl. You don't know the words which you speak."

[break][break] A hand placed is placed back to keep them back, just as Alena stands up once more.

[break][break] She floats off the hem of the boat, ACID SPRAY foaming at the mouth as it shoots towards the woman and her Gyarados.

[break][break] While distracted, Niko swims beneath the roaring seas and prepares a SWORDS DANCE.

The ship was seemingly plump with leeches, all of which needed to face exile into the seafloor on behalf of the man's inability to face reason. "You underestimate me, just as many men have before." She peered down at the man, matching the energies of distaste crawling out of the sea dragon's maw. Though with the spewing acid, she let out a grunt of being caught off guard, quickly sliding down the neck of the Gyarados and holding on to its tail.[break][break]

Acropora seethed in agony as the tentacle-adorned pokemon's acid splashed against its tough scales, seeping in through the cracks between them. But she knew just how tough her first companion was, even through the painful sight manifesting into bodily reverberations. Rapidly pressing the button of the first pokeball she could, an Arrokuda launched into the depths with a DIVE, readying itself for an imminent strike.[break][break]

The sea dragon had been angered, provoked. If it were possible for it to mega evolve simply based on anger, it would. Opening its mouth to roar even louder, the pressure imbued with the coastline kicked up a HURRICANE in an attempt to sweep the ship from the bow to the back of those that occupied it.

His eyes burn with the heat of a thousand dead soldiers. Blistering white.

[break][break] Burned in the squalor of Rocket's hell, made perfect from Dmitri's torture. Jayden would never break down the way that the other men had done before her. He was different. They were different.

[break][break] Even without the Ruinous Beast's presence, it's influence still remained.

[break][break] A HURRICANE cracked against the side of the ship, peeling back bark and steel, as the boat rocked steadily.

[break][break] "Hold back!" he commanded his grunts, just as his eyes snapped towards his Nihilego.

[break][break] "Imprison her!"

[break][break] The Ultra Beast floated forward, tentacles raised, as it unleashed a ROCK TOMB attempted to encase the woman and her serpent in a stone prison.

[break][break] Swimming beneath the rocky shores, the Oshawott attacks. A HYDRO PUMP aimed to shoot the Arrokuda out of the water.

The man was correct, for his seemingly present vigor was not like any other that she had experienced upon the crashing waves of the resurfaced island. Sure, he was determined in his cause just like all the rest- but there was something about his commanding of the virulent Nihilego that outweighed her skills at the sea, her blessings of the mother goddess. Rocks flew and encased the Gyarados she held onto, crushing against its scales and bringing a scream of agony from both of them. Though she tried desperately to hang on, the bruises brought by the stone crushed into her knuckles and the rest of her body, causing her to tumble down the back of the dragon into the depths below.[break][break]

Oracelies was brought to seethe as she dived down on her own accord, watching the fight of the smaller water types unfold as she took shelter under the waves. As for the imprisoned Gyarados, it roared as it tried to break itself free- and with a last-ditch effort released a WATERFALL from above, an attempt to strike those upon the vessel and the smaller pokemon in its wake. However, this caused the rock tomb to etch deeper into its scales, causing it to fall unconscious and sink into the depths. Noticing this, the sea witch was quick to retain the beast before it was too late, wishing to bring revenge unto those above the waters for bringing harm to the gifts of the ocean.[break][break]

But how, when all she had left was her small Arrokuda? The small fish was struck with a hydro pump, causing it to breach the surface just before diving down once more. Attempting to strike the Oshawott with the second half of its DIVE, Arrokuda shot toward the Oshawott with hopes of digging into its neck with its sharp maw, enhanced by its great speed.

Diving beneath the sea, there were no remains of that sea goddess except for the splash of waters beneath the crashing waves.

[break][break] Deep beneath, the otter fought his own battles. Too young and naive to know better, the Oshawott fought with all his tools at his disposal. The rising WATERFALL caused a whirlpool in the deep sea that the pokemon was caught beneath, his screams cut off with a gargle of water. If that did not make matters any better, the racing Arrokuda seized the opportunity in a deadly DIVE, fangs sinking into flesh.

[break][break] Jayden's brow furrowed among the stormy seas, wondering where the sea witch had disappeared to.

[break][break] "FIND HER."

[break][break] It was a last ditch effort, but a necessary one:

Though Oracelies had trained herself to hold her breath for quite some time while submerged, time was slowly running out with each bubble that escaped her lips, watching the fight to the death of the smaller pokemon unfold. Blood brought sacrifice, of which she spoke ancient words within her mind to guide its soul to the heart of the mother goddess; it was only fair to do so for those kindred spirits, especially those acquainted with the water. It was now free from the leech's grasp, allowing the Arrokuda to reacquaint with its trainer from the cloud of crimson that slowly dissipated within the current.[break][break]

Thunder crackled against the surface, the team rocket member's doing, no doubt. But the sea witch had no qualms with fighting to live as she performed such sacrifices in the name of her goddess and the league's prosperity. Feeling the tug of the sea under her, she clicked a glimmering orb upon her harness to release her Milotic and retain the Arrokuda, pointing downward in rapid motion to communicate with it to dive lower and come back up quickly. Following suit, the sea serpent shot toward her from below and scooped her up with its hair-like appendages, launching at an angle in an attempt to escape the thunderstorm above.[break][break]

Holding on with all of her might, the thunder trickled against both of their skins for a moment as they bridged it, bringing pain and searing to their skin. But the zone of storms only lasted so far against the face of the goddess; due to their launch, they had been able to outspeed the zone and land just outside of it, widening the gap between the man's vessel and themselves. Puffs of interdream mist awaited them further, of which they would indulge. It would be safer there than against the man, for she had seemingly bit off more than she could chew.[break][break]

Deep down she felt regret, not for initiating, but for not being able to achieve what she wished for. But such powerful foes always awaited in the shadows for a second bite- and perhaps then she'd be able to sink him into the depths, draining every last drop of air from his lungs. It was utterly what the man deserved, alongside those that followed in his wake.[break][break]
