"my assistant will reach out to you," she says. she can barely keep track of her own schedule, with how full it's come to be these days. Hyakkaryōran Tsubaki will manage to fit him in, but unlike the rest of her appointments, freya won't need to be reminded about this one.

freya backs up and leans against lyune's shoulder. the dragon rumbles. his forked tongue slides out from his scaled lips and he makes a noise that makes freya snort, delicate brows arcing up in incredulity.

"kosj ir?" she repeats and he chuffs. "so i was right, hm?" he bares one fang and flexes his claws, then snorts and closes his eyes. freya pats the side of his cheek.

"this one is lyune, and he wants to see you spar him too. when you're ready."

"Lyune," Caleb nodded, memorizing it. He eyed the dragon with an appreciative wariness. He wasn't ready to spar the veteran - not on his own, without help - not by a long-shot. But with a surge of excitement, he found that he eagerly anticipated doing so - when the time was right.[break][break]
"Oh, one other thing," he added, unafraid of the potential rejection. It was worth asking. "I want to learn how to speak to them like you do. That language."[break][break]
Draconic. It had been so long since Caleb had studied anything with real earnest.
