After signing and reviewing stacks of paperwork as part of her transfer, Shalin was mentally tired, but physically energetic. She needed an adrenaline rush to get her mind off the monotony that was the desk job part of her new Captain position. And what better way to do so than heading to her new playground - the foothills of the Chimney Mountain Range north of Rustboro? City noise ordinances kept her from doing so inside the park to begin with.

Her Flygon hovering above, the dragon's translucent wings emitting a pleasant hum, Shalin clicked the switch on her Venusaur's Poké Ball, the hulking Saria, tall as a single-family home, landed with a loud thud. Extending her vine, she scooped up the Sygna-Suited Ranger with it. Shalin and her Flygon both glowed with a faint green aura of light, a physical manifestation of the Infinity Energy keeping her from falling off the cracker at the end of the vine. The grass-type stretched upward to give Shalin a breathtaking view of Rustboro's skyline before lowering and stretching the vine back in preparation for what she had brought the wide-mouthed plant dinosaur out there for.
