ROCKET LEADERSHIP DURING
LATE SEPTEMBER.
[break][break]
SUMMARY
[break]
During September of 2023, several members of Team Rocket were involved in a missing person's case on Route 119, with the intention of finding several missing persons and a Bloodmoon Beast thought to be behind the attacks. This Bloodmoon Beast was revealed to be innocent, and the cases were instead linked to a hidden sect of Megalopolans who found themselves unable to return home.
[break][break]
Harnessing the power of Tera Crystals
(3.2, Tera Crystals), the alien group attempted to return home in a modified ship. This ship was commandeered by a joint force of Team Rocket and Pokémon League members, and the ship was flown to
Fortree City before breaking apart.
[break][break]
This report has been written by Howard Slayte in conjunction with several other accounts and testimonies.[break][break]
[break]
1. Entities
[break]
1.1 Bloodmoon Beast
[break]
Ursaluna Cousin[break]
The original target of the expedition, the '
Bloodmoon Beast' has been identified as a special variant of Ursaluna that is theorized to have traveled through a Space-Time Transition Event to Hoenn. Originally theorized to be the culprit for Route 119's missing persons, this was disproven by the appearance of Megalopolans
(1.2, Megalopolans). The Ursaluna is now in the ownership of archaeologist Howard Slayte, who has performed an analysis on the Ursaluna.[break][break]
Exhibited extreme aggression towards Megalopolans, killing several during multiple skirmishes. Possesses Terastallization abilities due to the actions of
Tempest Quinn . Studies are ongoing.
[break]
It is currently housed in an ancient Pokeball dubbed as the Gigaton Ball
(2.4, Gigaton Ball). [break][break]
- Access to different moves from a traditional Ursaluna.
- Intense hatred of Megalopolans.
- Likely from Hisui.
- Physiology is different, seemingly having a skeletal structure more suited for swimming. Analysis ongoing.
- The Pokemon League is aware that Howard Slayte (myself) is in ownership of this entity.
- Currently goes by the name 'Doug'.
[break]
1.2 Megalopolans
[break]
Stragglers from Another World[break]
The true culprits behind the missing people were actually a cell of Megalopolans who were seemingly trying to return home. Half of the expedition was trapped and kidnapped by strange Nihilegos corrupted with a magenta chain.
[break][break]
Their mental faculties were viewed as hampered and erratic, and they have retreated to parts unknown. [break][break]
- Morphed from the bodies of the victims as a method of disguise, akin to Megalopolans from the Ultra Space War.
- Theoretically corrupted by the Toxic Chain (2.1, Toxic Chain). Behavior was erratic and diet seemingly modified, if written testimony is to go by.
- Currently missing, with minimal leads on their current locations.
- Used Shiny Machines and Tera Crystals to presumably disguise and arm themselves.
[break]
1.3 Nihilego and Others
[break]
Corrupted by Toxic Chains[break]
During the battle with the Megalopolans after kidnapping much of the group, several strange Pokemon fought on behalf of the alien invaders. These included
Nihilego, Glimmora, and Dhelmise.
[break][break]
The Nihilegos sported an additional appendage that looked akin to the
Toxic Chain. The specifics of these extra appendages are unknown, though each Pokémon was capable of spreading the Toxic Chain to those that were stung.
[break][break]
From the testimony of several Rockets, including
Alba Evovae , the
Dhelmise and Glimmora each had 'markings' of a
Toxic Chain, instead of a full chain. This was personally verified while fighting against the
Glimmoras, but there is no reason to doubt Alba's testimony. Take it as completely verifiable fact.
[break][break]
When each entity was defeated, they did not leave behind an unconscious body or corpse. Instead, they simply faded back into the Tera Crystals. All were aggressive.[break][break]
- Extremely aggressive Pokémon corrupted by the Toxic Chain.
- Instead of being infected with a physical chain, the Glimmora and Dhelmise present had markings.
- Dissolved upon defeat.
[break]
1.4 Unknown Entities
[break]
Shadows in the Dark[break]
After landing the
Quaestor Lucis II (2.3, Quaestor Lucis II), several individuals reportedly noticed strange entities fleeing the crash site and disappearing into the trees. These Pokemon could not be identified, and their status is unknown. [break][break]
- There are four of these entities in total.
- It is unknown if these are known Pokémon or not.
- Currently missing, with zero leads.
- Additionally, a 'bird, monkey, and mutt' were mentioned in a Megalopolan journal entry, read by Aidan Hereford and Lulu Flint . Whether these are related is unknown.
[break]
2. Objects of Note
[break]
2.1 Toxic Chain
[break]
Unknown Binding Curse[break]
Upon being attacked by the Megalopolan threat, several individuals were infected by a magenta chain. Due to the poisonous nature of the object, it is being dubbed as the
Toxic Chain until further notice.
[break][break]
The chain is contagious, spreading and erupting at fluctuating speeds from carriers to victims after being infected. It can appear on any part of the body, and also seems to leave markings (From infected grunts and colleagues and their testimonies, the chains seem to induce mania and extreme aggression to the uninfected.
[break][break]
Shred Zeppelin has confirmed that these chains can be precisely excised from the body, akin to a tumor. Interestingly, these chains dissolve under several conditions and interact strangely with flora discovered nearby
(2.2, Unknown Flora). Upon the crashing of the ship, these chains quickly deteriorated.
[break][break]
Should someone be infected,
please use caution and maintain a very healthy distance to avoid further contamination.
[break][break]
Until further information is discovered, and due to the tentacle taking a physical form, this has been written into the report as an object of note, rather than a phenomenon. [break][break]
- Contagious and spreads through contact with an infected host.
- Induces mania, aggression, and obsessive behaviors in hosts.
- Reacts violently with the strange herb found on site.
- Upon crashing in Fortree, the Toxic Chain vanished. Whether this was due to interaction with Tera Crystals or because of a distance with the initial point of contact is unknown.
- If sighted, report immediately.
[break]
2.2 Unknown Flora
[break]
Mystical Herb[break]
Several strange plants were discovered near the crash site of the Quaestor Lucis II, deep within Route 119's swamps. Information is heavily lacking, but the herb interacts violently with the Toxic Chain if taken.
[break][break]
It also comes in several flavors, should Team Rocket wish to broaden the spices available in the cafeteria. Currently undergoing study, but appears to be a
high-tier psychedelic capable of causing visions, according to Howard Slayte's testimony. It was also cooked into a mochi-like substance, which was consumed by Slayte and several other individuals. This, strangely, is what caused the visions.[break][break]
- Reacts violently with the Toxic Chain, enhancing or subduing its effects depending on how it is consumed.
- Causes visions of 'something' when prepared as a mochi. What these 'somethings' are is unknown, as are how varied the preparation can be.
- Several flavors. Tastes good.
[break]
2.3 Quaestor Lucis II
[break]
Alien Mothership[break]
An alien ship used originally intended for use by the Megalopolans in an attempt to return home. This ship was commandeered by joint efforts between the Pokémon League and Team Rocket. The ship was flown across Route 119 towards Fortree City, breaking apart and
spreading Tera Crystals across sections of Eastern Hoenn as it did so.
[break][break]
From research and collaboration with those who have explored the Ultra Deep Sea, the name of the ship seems to be a successor to the original Quaestor Lucis. Despite this, the ship is powered differently, behaves differently, and seemed to be structurally unreliable, breaking apart remarkably easily. Like the Toxic Chain, it is unknown if this is due to it leaving its original location, or because of another factor.
[break][break]
This would not have mattered for the Megalopolans, given the ship was essentially a one-way ticket back home, but given that it broke apart while traveling through realspace, it's unknown if its maiden voyage across dimensions would have fared any better. The ship is also adaptive, and was easily flyable despite the pilots having little skill on doing so.
[break][break]
This is what the Tera Crystals are capable of producing, and the complexity of this device speaks volumes to their adaptability.[break][break]
- Manifested from the desire of the Megalopolans' need to return home.
- Easily flyable despite little experience. Adapts to the user.
- Built by Tera Crystals and powered by the Space-time Distortion.
- Extremely fragile, not even surviving the maiden voyage. Like all constructs, the reason for this is unknown. Potentially linked to leaving its source.
- Paradoxically, it was capable of tearing a hole towards through the ground as it ascended, speaking to its durability.
- Instrumental in the spreading of Tera Crystals near Fortree City.
[break]
2.4 Gigaton Ball
[break]
Ancient Pokeball[break]
The Bloodmoon Ursaluna was stored in this
Gigaton Ball, being found buried by Howard Slayte. While damaged, it was capable of temporarily storing the Ursaluna safely for short periods of time.
[break][break]
Currently undergoing research and repair.[break][break]
- Unfathomably heavy. Potentially used to concuss Pokémon without fighting them?
- Powered by steam.
- Damaged, whether through the Space-time Distortion (3.1, Space-time Distortion) or by other factors remains unclear.
[break]
3. Phenomenon
[break]
3.1 Space-Time Distortion
[break]
Space-Time Transition Event[break]
Likely related to many of the occurrences that appeared during the Route 119 Incident. The Bloodmoon Ursaluna likely originated from it, alongside several other objects of note. These will be listed below.[break][break]
- The Bloodmoon Ursaluna and its Gigaton Ball.
- Corpses that do not fit the timeframe. A leg discovered by several grunts. This leg, from analysis of its tattoo, seems to be connected to the Diamond Clan.
- Food, likely the corpses listed above.
- Shards.
- 'Machine parts'.
- Power for the Quaestor Lucis II.
[break]
3.2 Tera Crystals
[break]
A Double-Edged Sword[break]
The Tera Crystals were seemingly used as a building material for the Quaestor Lucis, though the time spent in it was brief. Several of the infected Pokémon also broke apart into energy akin to these crystals, from a glance.
[break][break]
Furthermore, these crystals have embedded themselves around Fortree, as if taking root there. Their influence has noticeably spread, and extraction seems
impossible currently without major resource allocation.[break][break]
- Embedded near Fortree and in Route 119.
- Used as a building material by the Megalopolans.
- Crystals are compared to The Blinding One in recovered logs. (As a side note, I am requesting information on this title from the Team Rocket archives for research purposes - Slayte).
[break]
Closing Thoughts from Evovae
[break]
Personal Thoughts
It is my belief that more resources should be allocated to the research and control of Tera Crystals. Terastal energy has proven itself to be capable of diverse and dramatic effect, from the events surrounding the 99943 Meteno meteoroid, to the success of the RKS Simulation project, and now its role in the Route 113 Incident. I have no doubt there is more to learn here.
[break][break]
The newly-created deposit of crystals in Fortree is not something we can ignore. With the crystals from Sootopolis, we created a universe; if we do not contest the League on this, we would be handing that kind of power to them on a platter.
[break][break]
Of course, this is just my personal opinion. I trust that whatever decision is made regarding this will be the right one in the end.
[break][break]
Glory to Rocket.[break]

Closing Thoughts from Slayte
[break]
Personal Thoughts[break]
As a grunt, I am aware that this document will be passed onto the desks of Beasts, Admins, and Head Scientists. I would like to use this moment to offer insight regarding what this means for the future of our great organization.
[break][break]
Especially since I'm the one writing this report, I will speak my mind.
[break][break]
This has the potential to spiral, and spiral quickly. This Toxic Chain is something to keep an eye on, given its potential to quickly infect large populations and give rise to hysteria. It almost killed the entire group on Route 119, and it being mixed with Megalopolans is something we should keep an eye on.
[break][break]
The best course of action to dealing with a sickness is to stop it from ever occurring. I can point to plagues, pandemics, and dozens of other examples from history to prove this.
[break][break]
Furthermore, I would request that Team Rocket take a closer look at Fortree. The city and League will be expending resources to deal with the crystals and their repercussions. Depending on how the League reacts, this might weaken Fortree's footing.
[break][break]
Either way, we should observe the phenomenon that is occurring there, moving forward. Something is afoot, and this likely will not be a solitary incident.
[break][break]
Glory to Rocket.
