“Well, well, well.” From across the hall, two trainers lock eyes. A beast and a gym leader. Oil and water. Fire and ice. They’re opposites, so the conflict is inevitable. Navy grins. There’s nowhere to run – for either of them. Once they decide to battle, there’s no going back.[break][break]
“Hey, Delarosa.” Something cracks under the smile. howard slayte’s hat covers a grievous head wound. His open chest exposes a heart consumed by fire. It has been a very, very long day. He’s endured cuts, bruises, interdream mist, death itself, and now, at last, he has one more challenge to face.[break][break]
Bryan isn’t getting into the depths of this temple. That is his quiet promise. He’ll keep the beast busy for as long as he has to. Archivald flaps his wings at the Sheriff’s side, charging forward and howling his own rage.[break][break]
Two huge, golden eyes dig into whatever Pokemon accompanies the beast. Watching. Waiting, Coaxing them to sleep. A gentle hypnosis attempts to make the creature fall asleep.[break][break]

"We can't keep meeting like this, what will the media say?" he says as his facial expression betrays his "flirtatious" tone. [break][break]

"Navidson." as he fires back another little quip. "I've been waiting for it." he shouts as he sends out his grimmsnarl, the pokemon immediately gets slapped by the hypnosis attack and falls asleep. "Oh, did you think that was gonna work for long?" he asks as he rushes forward and places a hand on it's back. [break][break]

The pokemon's sleep bubble pops immediately as infinity energy flows into it's body from Bryan's ability. "False surrender." he orders as the pokemon drops onto all fours and the hairs on it's body sharpen and flies towards the noctowl.

“They’ll say Navy is Declan Walsh’s favorite case of herpes. Always giving him and his boys a bad time.” He returns the tease with a grin. There’s no one to get in the way. No chance to surrender. All or nothing. One of them has to lose here. Both of them have to understand the other is too valuable an asset for their respective sides.[break][break]
Archivald only had a moment to feast upon the Grimmsnarl’s dreams. The dream eater leaves no immediate trauma, and rarely does. Too late does the bird realize the imp is immune to that little trick, or near immune enough for it to make no difference.[break][break]
And the imp bears down on him. Archivald’s eyes go wide in shock. They’re trapped underground. There’s space to move, but his maneuverability is limited. Fluttering up, it won’t be quick enough. It can’t be quick enough.[break][break]
A dragon barrels from the darkness, coming to his rescue. Arthur the Kommo-O roars, aiming a fist at the ogre’s gut. The ice punch will slow him down, if it connects. Ice has that habit. For a creature that only knows how to fight, there’s a surprising depth of strategy to the punch.[break][break]
Nor is it the only trick used. Power gathers around Navy’s right hand. His heart burns with Kyle’s flames. Latent infinity energy is drawn into his sygna suit.[break][break]
Grimmsnarl is assaulted on a second front. An aura sphere cascades from Navy’s red right hand towards the Pokemon.[break][break]
“Let’s dance. I’m done backing down.” At the edge of his voice is fatigue. He’s fought so much today. Escaped death. Confronted his past. Yet he fights. He has no choice. There is nothing else this scarlet dragon beaten into the shape of a man knows.

His Grimmsnarl is jumped by several pokemon with the ice punch and the aura sphere. "2 on one? Damn, I thought I fought dirty." [break][break]

"But I guess I can join him in the fight." as he rushes towards Navy himself, leaping up and trying to punch the psuedo-avatar in the face and force them man to remain focused on him. Meanwhile grimmsnarl splits off from Bryan and rushes towards the kommo-o, charging up with a HAMMER ARM attack at the dragon. [break][break]

If Bryan wants blood, he’s got it. Navy’s bled plenty today. Tired as he feels, his left arm on fire, the sheriff resolves to give a little more. He’ll dance as long as Bryan wants to dance. At least this guy is willing to fist fight him.[break][break]
Navy’s right arm comes alive with fire. More of Arthur’s fighting spirit is siphoned. Man and dragon fight as one. In Arthur’s heart burns an urgent desire – to stave off the darkness. To kindle the light. To ensure that a dark shadow never falls across Hoenn.[break][break]
The sheriff’s fire punch meets Bryan’s super strength. Navy is sent flying, flames trailing behind him.[break][break]
Arthur is a mirror of his trainer. Balling his hand into a fist, he slams a drain punch into the Grimmsnarl head-on. Behind him, Archivald screeches. His echoed voice bounces off the walls, Arthur’s soundproof armor protecting him.

The man was trying to overwhelm him with numbers, was that his plan? [break][break]

The attack was successful on navy but bryan took damage back. A fire punch strikes him and ignites a portion of his clothing, his skin bubbles grotesquely as he simple pats it dry as if it was a minor inconvenience. [break][break]

However he feels the pain all the same, he can't fight risky around this guy, that sygnasuit was powering him up in a major way. [break][break]

He squints at him "If I didn't know any better, are you think that little suit is gonna protect you?" He asks him as Grimmsnarl responds to the echoe'd voice ringing through his soul as a drain punch assaults his body. He responds in kind, chanting a hex before his fists ignite in a pink light as it tries to use SPIRIT BREAK onto the kommo-o. However the attack was weakened due to the fact grimmsnarl was getting gang'd up on.

History books name this ogre dragonslayer. Grimmsnarl is a natural enemy of dragonkind, perhaps one of its strongest enemies. Arthur simply doesn’t care. Arthur feels the spirit break and powers through. His armor resounds with the clang of his soul.[break][break]

A meaty, armored fist slams into the Grimmsnarl. He is not simply a dragon. Arthur is a fighter. Arthur is a warrior, with a warrior’s spirit. Roaring, he repeats the motion from before. His raging fists seek to drain power from the Grimmsnarl. He demands a hefty price for every inch.[break][break]
All the while, Archivald screams. His echoed voice sounds off the walls, growing louder with every wingbeat.[break][break]
“I think I’m not backing down.” Navy wipes blood from his lips. “Died once today. Don’t even know what we’re fighting for and I died. All I know is this: you’re a dick and a bully. I’m not in the business of backin’ down when dicks and bullies start acting like they own the place!” Raising his fist, another aura sphere blasts towards Bryan.

"Big whoop, get over it." he says as death was not something that currently frightened him, he died all the time. [break][break]

He takes his fist and punches the aura sphere, still taking damage from it as his knuckles began to bruise and bleed for moments. "You think I care? I don't need to know what I'm fighting for, as long as I'm given a goal I WILL achieve it." [break][break]

His grimmsnarl's body starts to shut down as more and more strength is sapped from it and it's spirit is rocked. He cries out in pain, grabbing bryan's attention and he thinks of a solution. "Grimmsnarl!" he says as Bryan isn't fast enough, Navy would see him reaching to get his mega stone activated and heal the pokemon. But his attention was off of navy, now was his chance to stop him and turn the tides slightly.

The attack comes in too quick, the echoed voice immediately pins him As he tries to reach for grimmsnarl, instinctually attempting to heal it with his ability since it was one of his stronger pokemon but it was for naught. [break][break]

The mega stone is stolen out of his hands and he's forced to retreat into some of the vines in the area to make his escape. However, grimmsnarl couldn't and the thunder punch spreads throughout it's body and fries it. The pokemon convulses erratically and bryan screams "NO, MORGAN." he yells. [break][break]

However he already feels it's life force fading to the point not even he could do anything about it. His glance switches to Navy and stares him down "You BASTARD." he yells at him "I'll show you a REAL KOMMO-O" he yells as he sends out his Shadow kommo-o and the pokemon immediately uses clangorous soul and erupts into a mish mash of vines and shields. "Power whip!" he orders as the unnatural vines, laced with surging shadows within rush towards the opposing Komoo-o using all of it's unnatural strength to hopefully push the opponent's Kommo-o into a nearby wall.

The sheriff asks himself this question, a knot in his stomach. Navy’s not going to say that Grimmsnarl was a good creature. Probably not an alright one. But it had a name. Someone loved it, even if that someone is a sorry, caustic bastard.[break][break]
And now, he’s dead. Another victim of this war. Someone who will only live on in their memories. When Navy dies and something figures out how to kill Bryan for good, the Grimmsnarl will be wholly forgotten.[break][break]
A grim thought, and one he doesn’t have time to dwell on. Arthur meets his match by way of another Kommo-O. Their scales clang together, Arthur desperately trying to meet his charge. Roaring, he’s slammed into a wall. Vines cover him.[break][break]
Once more, the sheriff witnesses the power of shadow pokemon. It’s awe-inspiring. Jaw dropping. Horrifying.[break][break]
“Archivald! Get in there!” His Noctowl breaks the chain of echoed voice. Finally, they have relative calm. Archivald instead levels a psychic blast at the Kommo-O’s back, hoping to distract it enough for Arthur to break free.

Bryan's Pokémon was feasting on his emotions, their bloodlust was insatiable now. [break][break]

The kommo-o's rage is directed towards the noctowl but the kommo-o was currently stuck dealing with a lesser dragon that demanded his attention. The kommo-o ignites it's claws with a draconic energy and slashes down at it's younger sibling trying to kill it in cold blood and establish itself as the Alpha pokemon. [break][break]

It was clear he needed assistance "Xerneas!" he orders as the pokemon immediately appears in a rush of vines taking over the hall and xerneas emerges, riding on top of the vines as they surged forward "Black BRIAR!" he yells at the top of his lungs as the halls filled with vines and seemingly sealed off Navy and Bryan from the pokemon. "You and me. I would advise against that little suit though. I'm aware of it not letting it use moves after right?" [break][break]

Xerneas remains outside the briar thorn barrier, worried for Bryan's constitution against that man but the pokemon had a goal given to him. He had to turn the tides of the battle "You will fall here." he responds to the pokemon as he uses his own psychic against noctowl.

In the last moment before the sheriff is sealed in, a creature slips free of its ball. Hattori is small. Miniscule. Insignificant. A stunted little thing. It looks up at a god, brimming with infinity energy, and his heart flutters with fear.[break][break]
He, and he alone, must fight this monster. Looking back at his Lord, sealed in his chamber, he sees a sight that makes his heart drop. Navy’s lips part in a mad smile. It is not the face Melody loves so well. Before Bryan, Navy wears no hero’s face. Morality and goodness, his Lord believes, are virtues born of a soft world. The Truth of Michael Navidson, the Truth he denies so adamantly that he will not even acknowledge that name, is that he is vicious. He can be cruel. He is strong.[break][break]
Yet he refuses to be that person. He refuses to hold aloft a world whose only value is strength, a world where he would flourish. Outside of this cage, he shepherds lost children. He fights for people who cannot defend themselves. He does everything that he can to help others. By ripping him free of that world, Bryan has stripped Navy down to that core truth. He exposes Navy’s heart, gaining an intimate view of the man that few will ever see.[break][break]
And that vicious creature smiles. He smiles because he can fight to his heart’s content. Regardless of what comes next, in that moment, all he wants to do is rage.[break][break]
Sygna suits are a two-way link. The Pokemon affects the human, and the human affects the Pokemon. Arthur may have chosen Navy as his appointed partner, but the human’s heart is the heart of a raging black dragon.[break][break]
Navy’s answer to Bryan Delarosa is not words. Words are for humans. Words are the pretense of a softer world. Navy’s answer is a study in scarlet.[break][break]
Navy’s answer is outrage. There is nothing eloquent about what he does, trapped alone with Bryan. It is not a civilized thing, the way he swings. His arms are the arms of a dragon, synchronized with Vortigern. He tears into Bryan. One claw after another. If Bryan can regenerate, Navy will simply outspeed the regeneration.[break][break]
Of course, there will be a reprisal. Bryan is strong. Let the beast show his strength. Navy welcomes it. Relishes this fight.[break][break]
Hattori turns to watch Arthur and the Shadow Kommo-O. Electricity courses through the gold dragon’s fist. Emboldened by Navy’s rage, he goes on the offensive. His thunder punch slams into the older Kommo-O’s gut, ramming it, refusing to back down or relent.[break][break]
Hattori has to hold out. He has to pull his Lord back from the brink. No matter what happens, for the sake of a man who has seen worth in something as weak as him, he must live.[break][break]
He does not yet attack Xerneas. Instead, he intercedes. Places himself in its path. A mere mortal looks up at a god with the one eye left to him. Greninja are not afforded the luxury of speech. He cannot state his intentions to Xerneas. As Archivald reels from the psychic lash of a god, the frog stands up tall.[break][break]
In his hand is a shadowed kunai, a silent declaration of battle. His Lord is a warrior. His Lord is better than a beast. Better than a dragon. So, while his Lord rages through the black briar, he will champion Navy’s ideal world – if only for a little while. Xerneas is strong. Hattori, too, refuses to relent before the strong.

Words were for humans, not Byran, he was sure he couldn't be classified as something like that anymore at this point. Xerneas's blessing warped his body and his mind beyond recognition. The cold and calculating rocket member had been replaced with a vicious wolf who was always starving. [break][break]

However it seemed that Navy did speak a language Bryan was familiar, rage. The outrage collides with Bryan as he tries to go blow for blow with the man. His continuous onslaughts prevents Bryan from using one of his hands to manipulate the vines within the Z-move as he needed to use a hand gesture to manipulate the plant life.[break][break]

With each blow, his rage increased. With each blow more blood had been spilled, unclear if it was Navy's fists or Bryan's. However it didn't matter in his opinion, he wouldn't stop until Navidson was no longer breathing for if there was one thing he could absolutely win in was in his ability to just keep going. [break][break]

"See! You're not fucking different than me, killing a pokemon? For shame Mr. Sheriff, I thought you cant be judge jury and executioner?"
. [break][break]

Meanwhile, outside of the dark green canonpy that his patron has set up the "god" of life stood defiant against the puny greninja. He looks down at the creature, his etheral gaze casting itself upon the greninja. He was on his own, with Bryan handling Navy, Xerneas was in charge of dealing with the situation outside of the black briar.

"Kommo-o, let your rage.. be unbound." he instructs with a tone of sadness and disgust in his voice. FAIRY AURA ACTIVATES and Xerneas fires a MOON BLAST at hattori to try and destroy the Pokémon where it stood. Kommo-o roars in defiance and sees a thunder punch rushes at the Kommo-o, paralyzing it with one shot but the pokemon grabs onto the punch before it occurs and unleashes a plethora of seeds as it uses LEECH SEED on the enemy Kommo-o
