“Then perhaps it’s worth examining some of the Pokémon who went through the Shadow Machine next. Maybe it’s nothing more than a game of chance, but if we can figure out how to better those odds…” He lets the end of that thought hang in the air, for the Underboss to dwell on as he wished. It wasn’t that fate and fortune didn’t exist, but there was an underlying logic to everything, even the most arcane of rituals.

"I've run extensive tests on my Sandslash; I can send you the results, and we can run any further tests you wish so long as it doesn't come to permanent harm." The poor shrew was used to being poked and prodded, being the first of Cillian's shadowed brood. It had hated him before Lugia. "I believe priam conrad and oscar clayton had lab shadows, as well, and Chu-e Choi received one of the last."[break][break]

He doesn't know how open the other three would be to experimentation, but he's hopeful they can be convinced. He has a good relationship with Oscar and Chu-e, and he hopes that Priam doesn't hate him after the Deep Sea incident. He liked the guy.
