This conversation was enough to get Hideo to consider looking further into the Amnesty program, to find out exactly what ex-Rockets had to go through to be considered cleared by the League. If the current means meant they had to be kept under such a close watch that they had people like Paxton keeping them under their crosshairs…

Maybe there could be room for improvement.

But he couldn't put too much of his mind on that. He just didn't have the energy for it.

"They can just leave it here. I'll eat when I'm ready." Whenever that would be. He knew he didn't have an appetite at the moment, and their conversation didn't help matters.

The mention of Eris Halla might've been the only thing that could rouse Hideo at that point - until the mention that she was somewhere at the camp. He knew she was tough enough to survive after they'd separated, and if she was somewhere here, then she'd get through.

His last words did get Hideo to grip his sheets, the boy grimacing.

At that point, Hideo's Hatterene was close to beating the shit out of Paxton. But the latter's exit stopped a brawl from breaking out.

Hideo couldn't say he felt much better about what'd happened with that Klinklang, but his mind had certainly managed to drift away towards other things. A good step towards accepting what'd happened.

Though he had new things to worry about now…
