[break][break]it takes both he and his pikachu off guard when she's hit with a blast of hydro pump. she cries out and stumbles with a step backwards that rocks the ground beneath them, raising her stubby arms to try and keep the blast at bay. [break][break]"YO, WHAT THE — " his smile gives way to surprise and horror as something big and wet snakes up along his spine. for a moment, he's frozen in place — maybe from the shock, or maybe because lick has a paralyzing effect — but then he whirls around to find the culprit[break][break]

though aaron's original plan was to wage psychological warfare on CIAN MAHER , his froakie has managed to uno reverse it onto him. he turns back to the battle with a shudder of disgust, then sucks in a breath as he realizes how close the battle has gotten while he was distracted. " he chokes out, blinking several times to try and turn the 1HP on his gigantamax pikachu back into a 3. this feels like one of those ass-clenching, last man standing moments in their squad games. only one thing left to do —[break][break]"use thunderbolt!"[break][break]as the smack down flies her way, she shoots off another thunderbolt to try and strike froakie out first.[break][break]
