Another opponent of rock paper scissors had appeared. A tiny little Kubfu, throwing out scissors with opposable fingers, and smiling at the duo. Attempting to cut the Froakie's fingers, a trainer would limp closer on a cane, and call out. Young, silver hair, but sunken darker eyes. "Law! Geez, buddy, why'd you have to run off like that?" The man says, finally getting closer.[break][break]

Limping forward, the man looks towards Cian, and tries to smile. Try being the operative word. "Sorry guy, Law has a mind of his own sometimes." In all honesty, all Law wanted to do was cheer up his depressed trainer by making him socialize.[break][break]

"Wait... you're not Cian are you?" Law quickly lights up, bouncing in place, already wanting to get into a scrap. Ashley scraps, and turns towards the other guy, rubbing the back of his head.[break][break]

"Name's Ash. Think its our fight?"

Ash can't help but smile somewhat politely. Guy's nice. Beats half the assholes he meets.[break][break]

That Froakie takes it personally, and Law is already in his fighting chops. As that HYDRO PUMP comes out and blasts outwards with petty resolve, the little Kubfu attempts to DETECT through it, running forward to close in.[break][break]

The moment Law gets closer, with a foot smashing the ground beneath, he leaps out of the jetstream, and AERIAL ACEs downwards on the teeny tiny frog.[break][break]

He'll feel that one. Law smiles at the frog, not taking anything personally at all.[break][break]

of course cian is nice. he's the nicest gym leader hoenn has to offer! he's not privy to Ashley Shepard's internal dialogue, however, so he stays smiling all the same.[break][break]

AERIAL ACE finds teeny tiny froakie, drawing a soft cry from it but the attack doesn't do nearly enough to take away a life.[break][break]

in return, it SMACKS DOWN kubfu, giving it a taste of its own medicine.[break][break]

Oh SCHNIKES bro, Law can feel the SMACK DOWN coming, and in return, attempts something nutty. Midair, after the AERIAL ACE hits, the Kubfu spins their body around on an axie, intent to make a helluva COUNTER. The bear will get hurt, but the frog is going to get it worse by far.[break][break]

It's instinctual for the bear, and as he fights like that, spinning on a dime, he hopes that the damage isn't too much![break][break]

Ash didn't even make the order there, Law just broke it down for the frog.[break][break]

The COUNTER was the right play, and while the Kubfu was able to take the strike dead-on, the frog took the worst of it, and with a stance taken again, the Kubfu watches the HYDRO PUMP come out.[break][break]

Though, this time, attempting to DETECT around it, Law begins to run around the Froakie into a circle, before giving back a powerful IRON HEAD! Hopefully, he could keep the momentum up.[break][break]

Law's timing was off, and the HYDRO PUMP leaves the little Kubfu off his feet and off-balance. But, as he Akira slides onto the wet ground, the Froakie goes in for the lick. And this moment was the one Law needed.[break][break]

If, he can manage it, he'll attempt to latch onto the tongue.[break][break]

"Bring down the martial law."[break][break]

One fist clinched, and pulling the frog to him, if he has the energy, he begins a brutal CLOSE COMBAT. Though, his defenses would lower, this Kubfu needed to get this strike in, or suffer defeat![break][break]

This is it.[break][break]

Ash can feel it again. The want, the need to be strong. The pulling. He's smiling. It's so mismatched on his traumatized face. The Froakie's offense was so powerful. There was nothing left but the hellish offense left. And so, Ashley calls out, excitement boiling his blood.[break][break]

"Lay down the Law, buddy!" Fire burns in Law's little eyes, and he goes faster, faster, faster and faster, each slap of his paw-fists goes forward, to strike at the LICKs. This ends one of two ways.[break][break]

One of them, was going to be on the floor. With Law's CLOSE COMBAT forced to become AERIAL ACE strikes to keep the damage going! He had to match him. He had to go beyond![break][break]
