A horrible roar shakes the ground before Mint can stop his future self from killing Fern. A blade flicked easily in his hand is blasted backwards by icy winds. jayden cross runs straight to Fern, to Future! Mint with strange blades of ice. They grin at the challenge. [break][break]
His Nidoqueen summons an EARTH POWER trying to block off the pair but Jayden only turns his HATEFUL GAZE to Mint. “Just take him and go-” but his voice dies against the winds. [break][break]

Future! Mint dropkicks Jayden forward but the Avatar quickly recovered, faster, more honed for close combat. That much is evident. When they fight closer, Mint can see all the bloodied spots and blossoming bruises on Future! Mint’s hands. Things like bloody knuckles, swollen fists, cuts on his arms and shoulders from side stepping poorly. Jayden easily launches him over his shoulder before turning to face Mint. He throws a sword, and Straciatella deflect it on instinct. [break][break]

A makeshift ICICLE CRASH crashes down on the trio as Chien Pao stands by its chosen. [break][break]
A sharp laugh cuts through the air, sardonic in it’s tone. “This is the best the League can offer? Pathetic.”
The HATRED he conjures suppresses all rational thought. Mint finds himself more and more angry, aggressive. His counterpart summons his team, a choice group of pokemon who all scream and howl and snarl at the Cursed. [break][break]
A free for all breaks out. Jayden doesn’t even bat an eye as more than one mint frost jumps him. No surprise when one Mint can dodge and sidestep ice more than once, while the other alternates pokemon in coordination, catching openings and attempting to exploit them as their sygna suit activates. [break][break]
Chien Pao is buffeted by a Nidoqueen, Tangrowth, and Straciatella herself. Future! Mint commands paradox and ultra beast alike, both Nihilego and Slither Wing firing attack after brutal attack at the Cursed. Ice as sharp as any steel goes flying, snarls and screams are exchanged, blood is shed. [break][break]
It’s just enough to keep up with the chaos, it’s even more to push through the overwhelming HATRED of the moment and beg Jayden to go home. HATRED would push him further than both of them, feed him, drain them. At this rate Jayden would outlast them all. [break][break]

Shrieks are met with laughter and blood. He goes to stab back only to be grabbed and thrown by an Abomasnow who attempts to spike the avatar into the earth. Chien Pao pounces on Straciatella but Mint’s other half is already moving, calling for Jayden’s execution as he darts for Zaba’s body. [break][break]
And everything turns to ringing. Blind rage and violence breaks out. Humans and pokemon give chase to myth incarnate. Mint screams as ice weapons stab into him, and are yanked back out. As he’s thrown by a stronger opponent. [break][break]
But Jayden bleeds too. The extra swords that fight around him, that make breathing a living hell, hurt him. And despite the overwhelming HATE for him, HATE for this moment, this timeline where Zabaglione dies before he does- [break][break]
It’s not enough. EXPLOSION destroys all the swords, WOOD HAMMER throws him into a nearby truck, and Mint- Mint seeing no ice protecting him plunges a knife into his chest. This isn’t his friend. This isn’t anyone he recognizes at all. The real Jayden would’ve prioritized Fern. The real Jayden wouldn’t have killed Zabaglione. The real Jayden would've known him. [break][break]
