Stormy skies were still going on. Interesting to him. Still not a drop of rain, thank goodness. The five foot six tall young man walked towards the next battlefield after a quick check up on his Paldean Blaze Breed Tauros. Soon, his opponent showed up. With a nod, he took a pokeball and threw it, revealing his large Paldean Tauros. "I'm Raju, and this is Big Bert." Raju was a man of few words. His Blaze Breed Tauros wasn't just large, he also had a red bull ring in his nostrils. And was digging into the ground, ready to go wild once again. Big Bert was aggressive alright. But he's been showing some restraint. They patiently waited for their oponent to show and introduce themselves. Their first match was fun, and very much a David vs Goliath. What will this one be like?

Thunder rumbled overhead, but Blue ignored the dark gloom of it. So long as it wasn’t dumping buckets on her head, she was fine. Approaching the pitch, she nodded to her apparent opponent—a young man not much shorter than herself. Beside her, her mightyena sized up the competition. “Blue,” she replied simply, before nodding at the canine. “That’s Bonnie.”[break][break]
The mightyena let out a low wuff, lip curling to reveal her canines as the tauros pawed the ground with sturdy looking hooves. They took to their side of the field then, a tera orb activating in Blue’s hand to engulf Bonnie in the bright light of poison tera energy. Blue was curious to see how she held up against the raging bull.

Seemed his opponent was also a woman of few words, introducing herself and her Mightyena. Almost immediately terastializing her into a Poison type. Smart move, since Big Bert was a fighting type. Aw, oh well...type advantages weren't always a garuntee win anyways. The big bull charged the dog, engulfing himself in flames for a Flame Charge, increasing his speed in the process. Only problem Raju had with Big Bert was his turning radias when on the move like that. And they were right in the center of the field. Raju hoped the guy hit, and slow down. Otherwise, he'd have to go to a screeching halt to turn around and continue the fight. It's...been a little bit of a problem...clearly something they needed to work out so it wouldn't be so severe. But that was for after the tournament.

And they were off with little fanfare, it appeared. With a sweep of her hand, Blue sent the mightyena forward to meet the tauros as it charged toward her. Flames licked up around him, threatening to singe Bonnie through her pelt. The canine veered away with a yelp, but the effort of the tauros’ charge was a force to be reckoned with.[break][break]

The flames clipped her hind legs and the mightyena spun out, growling as she stamped out the embers that clung to her fur. Bonnie took advantage of the fact that the tauros had charged by full tilt, however. Leaping forward, she snapped at Big Bert’s tail with POISON FANGS.

The charge wasn't a solid hit, and Big Bert had to slam on the brakes while trying to turn in the process. Only for his tails to be chomped on. What the hell? Well, Raju supposed that was one way to do some damage. BB started to buck and pull the dog around. It just may get smacked in the face with a Close Combat at the rate they were going. Even if it would start with his hind legs instead of a series of small horn bucks. It would be quite humorious if it was anyone else. Instead, Raju was one part irritated and one part annoyed. The tail? Hopefully they could turn the damn thing around or force it to actually face them...full frontal assaults was BB's specialty after all...

“Good, Bonnie,” she called out to the mightyena as she successfully latched onto the tauros’ tail. She held on, though the bulk soon started to buck and yank her around. Bonnie growled through her grip until she was finally flung away and sent tumbling by Big Bert’s retaliation.[break][break]

She yelped before rolling back up to her feet. No matter how ridiculous the sight had looked, the canine wouldn’t be distracted. She lunged forward again, snapping at the bull’s legs, seeking to CRUNCH down on one.

Big Bert managed to send it away, thankfully. This wasn't going well. The canine was focused though, already prepared to continue pressing the attack. The bull righted himself and faced it down. "Zen Headbutt! Try to turn this around!" Big Bert charged again, psychic energy swirling around his head to deliver a super effective hit against the snapping jaws. Normally the attack wouldn't effect the dog, but with the change in type came new weaknesses...and strengths. Terastalizing had its benefits, but if the opponent Pokemon had the coverage...well, it really doesn't matter. Aside from the hard hitting Poison Fangs that was just done...was it just him or did BB look a little ill? Was he poisoned?!

Bonnie was on her game this go-round–perhaps too irritated by prior losses to tolerate another. She crouched as the bull spun around, keeping low to the ground as she prowled forward with legs ready to spring out at Big Bert. The mighyena leapt, claws out, but was knocked away by the ZEN HEADBUTT. With a yelp she rolled–the hit actually registering where it normally wouldn’t have.[break][break]
But that was okay. She was doing relatively well, all things considered. Springing back up to her feet, the canine struck out again–that time in a full leap toward the tauros’ back as she tried to SUCKER PUNCH it in the ribs with her back paws.

The Mightyena dodged the Zen Headbutt, and ended up on top of him. Then it used Sucker Punch, sending Big Bert to the ground. And then he didn't move, just having the knock out eyes on. After the announcement, he returned the big bull. Well, that was disappointing. But just means he needed to get stronger. Walking up to her, he held out his hand for a handshake. If nothing else, he was going to be a good sportsman. As much of a disappointing showing that he had. Maybe the next match they'd be better on their game. But all there was to do was to move on to the next one.
