[break][break] So far, he'd sent him a third picture of pickle chips, orange crush poptarts, and grilled shrimp pringles.

[break][break] He had to put his phone away, though, when he watched their competitor step up to the plate. Ollie blinked with surprise when he recognized her immediately.

[break][break] "Woah! Look, it's Gia!" Ollie grinned, walking over to greet the new Ranger. To be honest, he'd been surprised to hear from CIAN MAHER when he did, revealing the fact that one of his buddies in the excursions had been a Rocket. It hadn't occurred to him that she was. He wondered if mint frost knew about that? Maybe Mint would've been surprised as he was.

she hasn't seen him much since the ultra deep sea and her switching of sides... though, he still seems accepting of her regardless. it's nice, she realizes, to feel like they're friends. his pikachu, tofu, jumps off his shoulder and runs up to nuzzle her fondly. she lets out a delighted laugh and returns the nuzzle with ease.

"i can't complain much so i guess it's goin' good? how about you?"

the alolan meowth at her side looks up at ollie for a brief moment before looking back down to continue inspecting its nails, as if it can't be bothered to join in on the conversation. tch... a work in progress, she hopes.

uncertainty rises slightly in the wake of her loss against CIAN MAHER, but perhaps this will be different... she hopes, anyway.

and his pikachu, tofu, rushes forward with trailblaze. the electric mouse knocks right into her alolan meowth and the cat hisses in pain before lunging forward to keep the pikachu close. once it's within range, the alolan meowth retaliates to play rough with his pikachu.

[break][break] Ollie's eager to start off the battle, if not for anything more than the fact that he's curious how giada morgan would handle herself. He wasn't sure if he'd ever seen her in an environment like this.

[break][break] Tofu lets out a shout of pain as the Meowth ROUGH PLAYS with him reply, throwing him back against the dirt. His body stings with the effort of it, but he's quick to shake his body before leaping back into the fray. Electricity sparks as a DISCHARGE explodes between them.

and after a moment, the alolan meowth strikes again...

this time, she utilizes the art of pay day - chucking coins at the pikachu in an attempt to deal some damage to it.

while normally, the meowth would be happy to play... but dirt on its otherwise pristine coat? no way.

a hiss follows and the alolan meowth is quick to pounce back at ollie's pikachu with as many fury swipes as she can land.
