with recent talk of the legendary birds in rocket, she wondered if it was the reason for their meeting there. she had come prepared for the possibility.[break][break]

more pokeballs burst open, setting up their side of the battlefield as an ELECTRIC TERRAIN spreads out from iron bundle.[break][break]

GIGAVOLT HAVOC fires at zapdos. the darkess that once surrounded them ceases, overpowered by the blinding flashes of yellow that zaps the legendary bird. it does not, however, channel it.[break][break]

it very quickly becomes apparent that even when up against four capable pokemon, three of which are considered mythicals, zapdos is still able to put up an incredible fight.[break][break]

more than that, it is able to take the fight to them.[break][break]

"i thought zapdos possessed LIGHTNING ROD and so i was curious to see if we could generate power from it."[break][break]

he says, answering Lulu Flint as he watches the brilliant flashes from a multitude of attacks happen before him.[break][break]

they still could generate power from it, technically — same way they’d done with bryan delarosa, and the eternal floette. however, she didn’t bring it to his attention.[break][break]

however, the bug’s metal claw that managed to scrape across an outstretched wing did far less damage than the attack before. it was practically shrugged off.[break][break]

she had long held off on owning a paradox pokemon. since the interdream zone had begun leaking into their world, she’d hoped that somehow they’d find a way to stop them all from crossing the threshold into hoenn’s realm. she thought perhaps cresselia could help put an end to it.[break][break]

but that had not happened. they continued to spill out, more and more powerful varieties manifesting.[break][break]

”i think they’re dangerous.” she predicted they would play a key role in the end of the world, if it came to pass. ”but when has that ever stopped anyone in this region?”[break][break]

her genesect was thrust into the ground, causing it to crack by the sheer force of zapdos’s thunderous wrath.[break][break]

”we have to keep up.”[break][break]

with the league, because of palkia. with the drk triad, because they were not playing with tools of their world either.[break][break]

”unless you mean the chasm itself, in which case... i have concerns – especially about the tera crystal – but i haven't gone down in it yet. it's on my schedule."[break][break]
