What poor timing to visit the coast of Petalburg, normally a playground for Shalin's water Pokémon. Though it looked nice outside, the waters were frigid. It was too cold to saddle up with any of her water Pokémon; not even Artea the Dewgong could ferry her for long without her becoming hypothermic. That wasn't to say she couldn't practice with her Pokémon. She was still getting her full strength back from her surgery, after all, and today she would put that strength to the test in an effort to regain the ability to use her Sygna Suit at its full power.

If Seb's eyes were to turn toward the beach from the dock, he would see a truly odd sight: a Flygon and a Yanmega, the latter quite big for its kind, would he stretching their wings near the shore. What were those Pokémon doing so far away from the desert? Furthermore, there was a faint, green glow surrounding both the Flygon and a human-shaped figure near the Yanmega. Seb might have been prompted to rub his eyes after seeing something that should have been impossible. Was that humanoid figure sitting astride the enormous bug's wing?!

How?

There was no camera crew - just a Flygon standing behind Shalin and her Yanmega, the dragon glowing the same faint green. With a deliberate nod from the Sygna Suited rider, the insect's compound eyes gleamed more brightly than before. He stretched his wings, lifting Shalin off the ground for a few seconds before the madness began.

With a loud drone, the giant insect's wings began to flap and buzz too fast to be seen, a streak of green light the only visual indication that Shalin was sitting on it still. The Flygon behind her began to squint as the conduit of Infinity Energy opened wide, the two in perfect sync with one another. It took perfect sync for Shalin to not fall off the wing beating at invisible speeds.

Shalin's vision became a melting pot of color, the only thing she could see clearly being her arms and the illusion of a still Yanmega wing beneath her. Her hair was a chaotic mess, every pore on her body opening straight up as the vibration coursed through her. While it was not particularly powerful, its high frequency more than made up for that lack of power.

Though the ride only lasted for a few seconds, the sheer intensity got Shalin's blood pumping. As the wings began to slow to the point where Shalin would be visible again, Seb may have been able to see a joyous expression on her face, like she was on the wildest carnival ride in the world.
