It has been a rough several months to say the last. Mentally, he was just not there. He wanted to battle, thrive in the world. Yet, the motivation just wasn’t there. A heavy sigh escaped the man, handing over his warden ticket and entering the wilderness of the safari zone.[break][break]

Crimson colored orbs narrowed at the skyline, noting that it was so early in the morning that the sun hasn’t even risen above the horizon fully. He thought this would motivated him, bring to back to the good old days of nothing but battling and catching pokemon.[break][break]

Letting out another heavy sigh, the burnt scared man pushed into the wilderness. He could only hope this would put the spark in him again.[break][break]

A familiar form came into view not to long after entering the safari zone, crimson colored orb flickered to the flailing dragon as it narrowed its eyes at them. Azula lips lifted, snarling at the creature as the male eating a ball at the shiny wild pokemon in hopes to capture it. He didn’t have time to have a star contest right now.[break][break]

It was crazy to think that just four years ago, Maverick game to Hoenn in hopes to live a normal life again. After the disastrous started back home, it was a welcoming light. Even now as the burnt scared man strolled through the dead of winter safari zone wilderness, he couldn’t help but be proud of what he has done. Hasn’t done much, but still. He could’ve fallen to the wrong side of the law again, but didn’t.[break][break]

A loud buzz rang in his ear, gaze shifted to spot the oddly colored combee as it zoomed away. For a moment, he contemplated on whether he wanted it or not. Not that he liked them, but it was something he didn’t have. And a shiny one, would only make it better. However, the man hummed to himself. Watching as it zoomed off and not bothering to catch it. Instead, continued on the beaten path to look for something else to catch.[break][break]

Whatever. Either way, Maverick wasn’t going to let this one go. Although he already had a shiny evolved form, it never hurt to have another one. Reaching into his pocket, the man plucked a sphere from deep within. Crimson colored orbs watched the golden fish flop about, waiting for the perfect moment to toss the ball. And, toss he did. The ball hit its mark, mid jump when the fish couldn’t dodge. It sucked the creature in, locking in place before wiggling. After all, he already bought the ticket so he’s gotta use them all up before time runs out.[break][break]

It didn’t take long for the next wild pokemon to come by. The green tinted steel body of the wild bronzor stared at them for the longest time, unmoving. Time was running out. It was now, or ever. Maverick and his canine dashed through the wilderness of the safari zone, looking for their last capture before he was to return to the exit. His heart raced, wanting to get his money’s worth before it was too late. And just as his final few minutes came, the burnt scarred man spotted the last pokemon he needed in the corner of his eye.[break][break]

Without hesitation, Maverick tossed the sphere at the creature from behind. It clocked it, the creature seeming really puzzled as to what hit it as the sphere sucked the wild pokemon in and locked in place. The ball fell to the earth with a soft thud, wiggling as it tried to escape. “That was close,” he mumbled to himself, waiting for the confirm capture so he could finally leave.
