If you know Ely, you knew why she was here. Large excited sapphire eyes flickered over the vast land known as the safari zone, feeling more hopeful after what felt like the last few months of nothing but down fall. She took in a deep breath, letting the crisp cold morning air consume her. By her side, her sylveon let out a long meow as she stretched too.

“Let’s go Rue,” the coordinator beamed, darting into the safari zone without a second thought, “We got pink pokemon to catch!” Rue was quick to follow, leaping and letting out meows as she did.

“O M G,” the pink haired woman screamed, blue sapphire eyes wide with a brilliant smile on her lips, “O M G! O M G! O M G!” Ely couldn’t believe her eyes. There it was. Pink and cute! Without hesitating any longer, she darted over to the small pound. Plucking the sphere from her pocket, she was quick to toss it before it could escape. And escape, it did try.

It turned, ready to retreat to deeper water. However, the ball hit its mark. Opening up, sucking it in, and locking behind it. The sphere fell to the ground in a soft thud, wiggling isn’t the shore as Eleanor knelt down next to it eagerly. This. This was what she wanted. Another pink one to add to the collection. Perfect.

The high pitch buzzing sent goose bumps over her delicate skin. It wasn’t that she was against bugs, but something about that buzzing was creepy. Luckily, combee wasn’t a pink pokemon. So as it buzzed passed her, Eleanor simply let it be and continued the search for more pink creatures.

The splashing by the water caught her attention, moving towards it to see what it was. She frowned, watching the magikarp flopping around in the shallow water. Ely didn’t like to see the creature suffer, feeling bad for the poor thing. It wasn’t her type of pokemon, yet she couldn’t just stand by and watch. Tossing the sphere, she attempted to capture the creature out of pure pity for it. Maybe she could find a home for it one day.
