"Let's! Just because she's meant for riding doesn't mean she's no pushover in battle!" Shalin teased, Queen Zing's piercing buzz drowning out all other noise. Despite her disadvantage, she wasn't going to make this easy for the Braviary; all she needed to do was land one sting, and that bird would feel like he was burning up from the inside out.

She was quick to try to land that one critical blow, too; already raising her abdomen toward the foe, she pushed her venomous FELL STINGER out of her rear, extending it almost as far as she could. If that thing pierced Kyouya's feathers, it was gonna hurt!

With a powerful talon rake that penetrated the wasp's armor, Kyouya had tossed Queen Zing aside like she was nothing. If he could carry a ton or more of metal into the sky, lifting a Beedrill his own size would be little trouble at all.

Two could play at the speed game, though; the Beedrill, catching herself in flight before she would have smacked the outer wall, buzzed louder, her deafening wings carrying her in AGILITY-powered, high speed circles. The tactic had been written up to confuse the large bird, letting her cut the vibration of one of her wings when the time was right. With a sudden turn, she would stretch her venom-laden foreleg stings toward Kyouya in a flurry of POISON JABS!

It was how Shalin expected the match to go. In a battle between flying insect and soaring bird, the match's outcome was almost predetermined. The stings found Kyouya's ROCK SLIDE instead, warping them and making them unable to pump venom as they were. Shalin had to intervene.

Raising her right hand to her MEGA CIRCLET's Key Stone, it and her Beedrill became enveloped in the vibrant light of MEGA EVOLUTION, the giant, saddled bug back with a vengeance. Sporting two more stings, the wasp would zip toward Kyouya again, this time attempting to spear the blue-winged avian with a flurry of POISON JABS twice as fast as before!

The first sting was the most painful, but that didn't mean Queen Zing couldn't turn up the heat! Chemical heat, that was. The wasp and giant bird were locked in a grapple, Queen Zing fighting g-forces while Kyouya fought an increasing amount of venom flowing through his body.

That dose of venom would only rise as the insect intelligently used Kyouya's momentum against him, taking advantage of a sudden turn to slam her FELL STINGER into him. The Braviary would be able to dislodge the dangerous insect, but perhaps not before being bombarded from within by the dangerous biohazard that was her venom!

With a violent hurl, Kyouya was able to hurl Queen Zing into the ground, her back planting into the pavement and rendering her unable to fly. The judges had seen enough; waving their red flags at Shalin, they declared Alex the winner.

"I got one good hit in," Shalin exhaled. "That's all I can expect. She's one tough Beedrill, but there are... physical realities here. She's not beating one of your birds in battle." Once she had turned her match slip in, she was able to walk away when she thought of something. "Have you been to my Romping Grounds yet? Could make a day out of it!"
