And when the buzzer sounds, the beast is loose; using Agility to bridge the gap between them, it tries to get up close in an attempt to unleash a Scary Face from up close.

There's so much to be said about speed, but as it turns out, Yvaine and her Zoroark have yet to master its ways the way Josh Devlin has. It shows when the dark-type brushes up against the Mawile and finds itself being catapulted backwards by its Iron Defense.

It skids to a halt, shakes its head to get the ringing of the impact out of its system and steadies itself once more. So speed failed. Maybe a series of Night Slashes would do the trick?

With glowing claws it approached anew, lashing out at the Mawile's enforced body, hoping to break past its Iron Defense.

The rainbow colors of mega evolution blind it for the third time in equally as many matches, and it knows what to expect when it blinks and regain proper visage; the altered appearance of a now vastly more powerful opponent.

And with the same suddenness it is picked up and thrown, tossed across the smaller pokémon's shoulder like it weighed nothing. A myth just as quickly debunked by the loud bang as it slams into the ground behind it. Using the momentum of the bounce it twists and turns, planting both feet into the ground and returning the favor with an unorthodox Foul Play.

It roars in agitated pain as the two maws Crunch down on its arm and shoulder, forcing it down unto its knees in turn. Resolving to take the damage involved when trying to pull its arm free, it slams both fists into the ground, creating a dark shockwave from point-blank range.

The Rock Tomb makes the entire arena shake, throwing a reinvigorated Zoroark off guard. When it retaliates against the Mawile, finally returned to its original form, it grins. The playing field has been evened out, and now, their final clash commences.

When Paxton's Mawile launched herelf at Zoroark for the final confrontation, ready to barrely him over with an Iron Head, the dark fox would not have any of it.

Dodging the incoming attack it aimed for Conibear's head and slammed its Night Slash down with full force. Enough force to keep her from rising up again. And when it became apparent she would not, the Zoroark grinned and rose to full length until the signal was given for its victory.

Hard-spent, they'd finally achieved their second win in this tournament. The redhead hugged her hulking partner with glee, finding herself nearly being picked up and thrown in the process before it released her again.

"That was an amazing match, Paxton! Maybe a rematch is in the cards somewhere in the future?"
