Given all of the chaos and such that had been going on for a while now, Yuina felt that she hadn't had an opportunity to get out and just have some time to relax and enjoy some of her Pokemon...[break]
Granted, at this point, being left alone with her own thoughts may as well be a punishment, but so long as she had some of her Pokemon with her to have fun with... It wasn't too bad, right? She'd met some really neat Pokemon over the last little while that she hadn't had a right opportunity to interact with, and what was a better time than getting to splash around on the beach for a bit?[break][break]
Yuina walked along the sand with Daikenki beside her, and a few of the water type Pokemon that she had come to encounter were wading into the shallow waves that lapped up on the shore. This wasn't to include a small, quirky little guy that hobbled around on only two feet, and a tail that wagged and waved, threatening to knock him over. Yuina smiled as the Wooper waddled around in the sand, splashing in a small puddle.

[attr="class","inner-finally"]Where there is one Wooper, a rush of the waves suddenly means there are two. The newcomer pushes themselves up onto their feet, squirming and shaking the water from their face before finally taking a look at the other Wooper present. And they grin, cooing in greeting before waddling off in a certain direction, pausing every so often to check if their newfound companion still follows.[break][break]

The further one travels down the beach, the closer they grow to the rocky shorelines. And as they dare to venture further into these parts, they might just realise that there seem to be... more Woopers.[break][break]

Far more Woopers than one might ever expect.[break][break]

That doesn't even include those that tumble amongst the waves, nor the Quagsires that lazily turn their head towards the approaching stranger and smile. In the midst of them all, a single Paldean Wooper breakdances on the sand, supported by two Clodsires who bounce in rhythm to its jam.[break][break]

And up atop the rocks, a small figure lays sprawled across the uneven edges, just barely visible over the unruly mane of a dozing Luxray.

As if called by some powerful force, or perhaps just hearing the song of his people, Yuina's Wooper smiled wide and patted his tail on the sand as he too sang out in a cry to match that of the couple of Wooper that had meandered towards him. Then he began to follow.[break][break]
Yuina was looking out to the water where the couple of other Pokemon that she had with her were enjoying the water, enjoying the cool feeling of the wet sand on her barefeet as she walked along the beach, but when the sounds of Wooping began to grow louder and louder, she looked out, finding her own Wooper lost among a trail of blue waddlers leading in a specific direction.[break][break]
"Hey, hey wait," Yuina called, she didn't want him to go too far, or get lost, but it only took a handful of strides up the beach to see that he was indeed lost now, to a sea of Wooper and Wooper adjacents swarming the beach...[break][break]
"Oh... What, what's going on," she wondered, was this an outbreak of some kind? Were there supposed to be this many here on the beach? Where had they all come from?

And who should he find but a lady they've met not once, but twice by sheer coincidence? If memory serves him, she's gone beyond the stranger status and been promoted to... texting buddy? Or something along those lines. All he knows is that Eris finds great joy in sending the stupidest pictures of John Sullivan to her.[break][break]

And he'll even nudge his own ward to check just what her thoughts are on the matter.[break][break]

"Wh- who?" Gingerly sitting back up, Eris leans over the edge to peer at the intruder, raising a brow as the gears in her mind take a moment to click.[break][break]

"Miss Yuina? What are you doing here?"

Standing amongst an actual sea of Wooper and Wooper adjacent, Yuina wasn't quite sure what to do... And her particular Wooper was lost to the chaos of it all, disappeared into the blue masses, called in by his people...[break]
She half considered trying to report it, was there some kind of disturbance in their environment that they needed to investigate? Were they stuck here, washed up on the beach and needed to be helped back into the water enmass?[break][break]
And then a voice spoke her name, she turned to look. Up atop a short rocky outcropping, looking over the sea of Wooper, sat a Luxray, and atop that Luxray, was Eris.[break]
"Eris? Hey, are you here about the Wooper? Do you know what's going on," Yuina wondered, if this was all a problem, at least she would have help now.

Had she been asleep? Eris seemed a bit groggy as Yuina looked up at her, side stepping out of the way of a line of Wooper that waddled past her.[break]
Wooper Troopers..., Yuina mouthed silently to herself for that moment... They all belonged to Eris?[break][break]
"They-They're all yours? All of them," Yuina returned, incredulous, looking out to the sea of them. There were so many...[break]
"What? What, no? You're fine Eris," Yuina said, almost laughed then at how quickly the situation turned, she'd gotten wrapped up in the idea that something was the matter for nothing in a very funny way.[break][break]
"I've just never seen so many of one Pokemon like this, it's really something."

Standing there in the sand, looking up to Eris now as the remainder of her Pokemon had vageuly caught up and still lofted in the water off in the near distance, Yuina smiled, nodding along with her. She wouldn't question it at all.[break][break]
"Yeah, you really showed us with how well you and your Pips worked together, I never doubted you both for a second," Yuina smiled, the match had been close, but that little guy really did prove that he had all that it took to come out on top.[break][break]
"Hm? Oh, nothing in particular? I just kind of started walking on the beach a bit ago, and ended up over this way? Just to get some time away from a couple of things," Yuina returned, perhaps even a bit glad now that she might not have to be alone with herself...[break]
"Is this where you usually take your Wooper Troop?"

After how they had slipped up for a second? In all honesty, they very well could have lost if not for Pips' quick recovery.[break][break]

"Nuh, I don't really hang out here. We're usually at Dewford Beach or somewhere." Confession comes with an awkward laugh, fingers gently scratching at her nape. "I just thought it'd be a nice change of pace, since I was a little stuck for ideas..."

Staring up the way a bit still as Eris remained at the top of the rocks on her Luxray, Yuina smiled in kind, she could understand the need for a change of pace, a change of scenery.[break]
"Well, it looks like they're all enjoying it? That's the most important thing huh," she returned, looking around to the mass of them all lounging, splashing, wooping.[break][break]

"Sure?" There really isn't any point in her driving Yuina away, especially when she's lost her Wooper. Technically speaking, Eris already has her eye on it, more than able to identify the odd one mixing amidst her Woopers. But they're having fun, so she really shouldn't be interrupting.[break][break]

The handful of Pokemon that Yuina had in tow with her along the water's edge had made it to the portion of the beach were the Wooper ran rampant. The Lapras splashed her flippers and sang a tune to match the wooping the woopers were singing.[break][break]
Yuina thought for a moment at Eris' question, contemplating it as she glanced back to her.[break]
"Well, no, I don't think so. I was just going to hang out with my Pokemon," Yuina returned, but, her Pokemon weren't the only company around now...[break][break]
"Or, we could hang out together?"

Plenty of space, even with Reiner's big butt in the way of things. Probably could host a whole Wooper dance-off with her whole gang atop this rock if they so wished. The only real problem here is that the moment Yuina does climb up to join her, it might just be an awkward silence.[break][break]

What would they talk about? What things do normal people talk about that doesn't revolve around Hoenn going up in flames? What does she normally talk to Isaac Merlo about from day to day? What she's done in Petalburg Woods? The new mural sketch she has? Whether Thursday might be a cookie day?[break][break]

Perhaps, an awkward choice of question. But at the very least, it could be considered better than nothing?
