Bars are so not her scene, but a scene she knows how to frequent with finesse. Easy to get a free drink with a giggle, and a compliment. Ohmygod, do you work out? and it tends to get both brains working, leveling them out like the bartender does to the inevitable glass of pick-your-poison they pour.[break][break]

Helena knows what she wants, and she takes it, that easy. Just like tonight.[break][break]

Tonight is a VIP-kinda night. Ecruteak's Theater daughter, beautiful, gorgeous, perfect, one-of-a-million dancer, recently jobless, sits quietly in a booth, checking every social she has. Enough DMs that she just scrolls over them, little care, little desire to indulge. Turns out, hot as she is, she attracts the worst kind of people. The stalkers, the try-hards, or worse, the simps.[break][break]

Oh well. The other VIP was Cillian Quinn, she guessed. Some bigwig at Rocket, underboss. The recruit over in Johto told her to meet him here if she wanted more money. She did. It was flaunting that communications major she had. Communicating with someone that all their assets were her own? Uh. Yeah, that's like her bread and butter, baby.[break][break]

So here she sits, looking as perfect as she wanted to. The leather jacket made her feel like a bad girl, but the dress underneath told a different story.[break][break]

Crossing her legs, and quietly checking her nails, she taps the table, as her little baby Litleo peeks over to the table proper. Her drink of choice? Water.[break][break]

She prefers to be in control of her actions.

But for business, nothing beat the cover of a VIP space. Guards watching the entrance to ensure no one slipped by, music outside to muffle all conversation within. They don't even ask for ID, stepping aside to permit him without a word. Infamy had its perks as well as its many drawbacks.[break][break]

She's easy to find: she's the only one there.[break][break]

He slides into the booth across from her and signals to the attendant. The VIP section was closed for tonight.[break][break]

She's pretty, but that doesn't work on him. Never has.[break][break]

And there he is. Attractive guy, blonde, tall. Taller than her, clearly. But it's clear her beauty isn't his type, and Helena's pouty little resting bitch face isn't entertained. But, best to make good with the higher-ups, in case she needs to get in bed with them early.[break][break]

"Good evening. You must be Underboss Quinn. It is my pleasure to make your acquaintance, Helena Hawthorne, daughter of the Ecruteak Theater in Johto," she begins. She's cordial, much different to the foul mood and expression she gave just moments before his arrival.[break][break]

Crazy what a little recon can get you. A name, a preferred drink, details about a guy you want. She's walks the walk, she talks the talk. She's done it for years in high school, then college, and she can certainly do it here at a bar. Enough groundwork, and she doesn't buy her own drinks. More, and she wouldn't buy dinner.[break][break]

But this is a special night. And when Underboss Quinn says he won't drink, she respects the decision.[break][break]

"You got it," she waves with a finger, and does all the ordering herself. A showing of initiative? Maybe. She just wants to make a good first impression, and a water for the Underboss was the first best step.[break][break]

Once he's situated, she starts. "You've got quite the reputation, Underboss Quinn. It's like, so impressive. I admire that," she starts, beating around the bush and trying to stroke the ego before she goes further. Best foot forward. "Good. Trying to please people can be irritating," she scoffs, that sweet talker persona dropped fully in lieu of the mistress beneath. A resting bitch face taking its place. His continued speech of earning power, has her roll her eyes. It costs a lot to gain power? She knew that. Probably. Waving her manicured hand in front of herself, she waves it off. With a roll of her eyes, and a lean back, she curves one leg over the other in the booth, and looks away. The Valley Girl in her so badly wants to say 'whatever', but she can't to this Rocket official. This Underboss.[break][break]

"I'm not like others," she scoffs, manicured hand rushing through her hair, as she checks her nails. "Stealing, lying, killing. I don't care," she confirms, glossy lips move upwards into a very disturbingly vile smirk. "Though my skills are better suited for manipulation. So that's my usual go-to." Just because she'd never killed, or stolen, doesn't mean she can't make someone else do it.[break][break]

Breaking someone's spirit was a specialty.
