When the rock-type felt Shalin on its back, it let out a second, more frightening roar before bucking and THRASHING her. She lurched back and forth with every heave. Even one of Hoenn's most talented riders hissed as the Tyranitar hurled its weight directly where its unwanted rider sat. It was clear after just a few kicks that the mountain Pokémon was going to overpower her.

Thankfully for her, she always kept an empty Poké Ball palmed when riding a wild Pokémon, ready to drop it on her unwilling steed when the ride got too wild to handle. With a Tyranitar, it wouldn't tale too long. The brutal fighter's bucking power clearly put even the world's meanest Tauros to shame! She would drop the Poké Ball onto the wild not long before her ride would send her flying and rolling into the muddy water nearby.

Knight clapped once Captain Nariya was done with her impressive display, "Incredible!" But all the noise and excitement hadn't just attracted his attention.[break][break]
More bugs appeared from around them, and Knight immediately zoned in on one in particular. "Woah! A Joltik! You don't mind, do you?" He asked out of politeness, even though Captain Nariya had already explained which type of 'mons she was most interested in. He grinned and pointed at the tiny Pokémon, "Perrin, get it with a Peck!"[break][break]
His Rookidee cawed his confirmation and took to the skies. A second later and he dived towards the Joltik but the little thing was clever and jumped out of the way. It responded by using Slash and landing a hit on Perrin, who hadn't expected to miss or for the bug to fight back. What a brave thing it was! [break][break]
"Don't worry, Perrin, you got this. Hit back with Fury Attack!" Despite the Joltik holding its ground, Perrin was able to land a few strong hits. The Joltik fell onto its back and Knight grinned. [break][break]
Before he had a chance to toss a ball, the Sizzlipede seemed to take offence to him trying to catch the spider and wanted to fight him as well, "Uhh, Captain--" Not that he couldn't handle it but... [break][break]
Knight side-stepped to get a clear shot at the Joltik and tossed the ball while Perrin tried to scare off the Sizzlipede.

With Shalin still reeling from being bucked off the Tyranitar, Bass Boost took matters into her own hands. "Duck for cover, Knight!" Shalin warned. The water-type hopped toward the Sizzlipede, planted both her fists into the ground, and began vibrating with great power. Again, the saddle on the Seismitoad's back looked like a blur from how fast it shook. A seismic shockwave from the amphibian's EARTHQUAKE rocked the Sizzlipede.

Absorbing the aftershocks after being roughhoused by the Tyranitar had worn her out. "...Might be time to head back to Oldale," she huffed, her thighs thumping from being hurled about like a ragdoll while she was astride the Tyranitar.

Now she needed to come up with a name for the hardest-bucking behemoth in her entire sanctuary...

As the ground shook and bucked, Knight let out a laugh and gave the Ranger a thumbs up. Soon everything settled and the Sizzlipede was definitely dealt with, "Cool!" If nothing else, Kay wanted to join the Rangers so he could easily help people with situations like this.[break][break]
He just needed to train more and improve his skills, so they couldn't say no to his application![break][break]
"Thanks Captain. Yeah, I think heading back would be a good idea." He had caught plenty of Pokémon today and was excited to get to know them all. Knight recalled Perrin to let the bird rest and made plans to get him to a Centre as soon as possible.[break][break]
After doing that, Kay turned to Captain Nariya with a bright smile, "I'm so happy I can into you and your 'mons today. It was a lot of fun to see a Ranger Captain in action!"

"Any time, Knight!" Shalin replied, warm vibes flowing through her veins. The young one was so passionate about what he did. Whatever career path he went for, the Captain was sure he would be successful. She whistled for her Pokémon to gather around her. "There's room in Sandy's saddle for you if you'd rather ride back to town!" she kindly offered.

Regardless of the the travel arrangements, the two would make it back to civilization without further incident. Little did she know the scope of the friendship that would blossom from today's chance encounter...
