/root - non-binary, uses gender-neutral and masculine terminology. either or both pronouns sets work for dem.

[break] - is really good at reading body language (learned it like a language), but easily fooled by skilled liars and actors; good if at times exaggerated actor demself.
[break] - easily overwhelmed by smells. picky eater (texture-based). touch-averse with a few exceptions.
[break] - comes off as cold at first glance (runs physically warm, interestingly). is happy to be engaged in interesting conversation, but bad with smalltalk and will likely escalate it to discussions about the nature of the multiverse and determinacy vs choice.

/civilian/fake - sign name: quickly draw several (thin) lines with f-sign & puckered lips for viseme.
[break] - no one has an idea how to pronounce "fenelle" correctly, so it's anyone's guess.
[break] - ordinary grades from an ordinary school in the unova region (dee almost forgot to replace the john doe in the template). parents died shortly after der graduation; dee moved to hoenn then.
[break] - office worker in a company's planning department. the company isn't well-suited for deaf employees (dee is the diversity hire) so working can be complicated if dee can't just do it on der computer alone. often ends up doing intern errands or nothing at all.
[break] - lives in a small flat in slateport city, lower district near the night market. there's really not much room to move around, but almost every piece of furniture has some kind of gimmick (sofa bed, wall bed & ironing station, etc pp) to make stowing away easy until you need it. (the gimmick furniture likely cost more than the flat itself.)
[break] need help with this safe in the office. it's got a digital lock [pic attached] [break] - has an almost oppressive force of "normalcy" around dem. is mostly unremarkable; friendly, maybe with a bit of an odd stare at times, but nothing too unusual. socialises just about the right amount and is punctual (but sometimes a bit earlier). pleasant, and easily forgotten.
[break] - der hobbies include watching whatever's popular (at double speed), shopping on free days (exclusively during early opening hours), talking with friends (or strangers to argue with) and baking pastries (genuinely true).
[break] - has a team of foodmons and autism creatures for pokémon (starter pkmn + more). for battles, uses mirrors/frozen silver plastic wrap/other reflective surfaces so der pokémon can see signed commands without turning around.

[break] - the adopted kid of the de-laurierwylle family. the couple adopted dem out of sheer good-will, and allow this "poor deaf child" a life in luxury without ever having to worry about a thing.
[break] YO NEW EP OF [insert anime name] JUST DROPPED, WE STREAMING? [break] - officially the "younger" sibling of Sailor de Laurierwylle , but only by a couple of months. (the "big sib" braincell bounces around like a dvd logo. they're very close to each other; sailor is in charge of der fashion. dee got them interested in [magical girl] anime and they often watch together.)
[break] - mostly remains in the shelter of the family home; only occasionally comes to socialising events, standing on the sidelines (observing).
[break] - doesn't have pokémon; might be afraid of them, but it's hard to tell.

/rocket - sign name: flat hand parallel to the floor, wiggle fingers as if typing and move in direction of the hand used (e.g. right hand > move right). repeat 2 times. no viseme.
[break] - the de-laurierwylles are deeply intertwined with rocket; dee has been adopted with the purpose of becoming a good asset for the future, given der exceptional maths skills at an early age. additionally, the couple thought a deaf kid would be handy; dependant, but also with an exceptional visual perception (that native signers tend to have) and the ability to lip-read (which is a myth).
[break] - has bargained dearly to be allowed to live out of the family home under a fake identity. works hard to get the same deal for sailor, somehow.
[break] de laurierwylle is such a mouthful. what a dumb name, can't wait to change it lol [break] - has been given the best private education money can buy in all manners maths- and computer science-related, up to post-grad university level.
[break] - started working officially as cracker for team rocket at the end of 2023. also occasionally takes the mantle of an optimiser/stochastician, or "professional gambler" as dee would call it, to look over mission plans to calculate and minimise risks.
[break] - uses a custom "text to speech" module if needed for stealth communication. it's been developed with the help of sailor who's got the most say how der "voice" should sound like.
[break] omg someone stole ur face for this anime char [edit attached] [break] - fully unmasks der autism with rockets. prefers solitude over company, a person of few signs and texts (that are absolutely loaded with emojis). just let dem know what needs to be done and dee will see it done.

[break] - always eager to hire rockets to fill in roles in the mundane soap opera of fenelle miller's life (like fake friends, partners, relatives ...)
