among all the lives you've donned, though, keone basilio's is the one that matters the most— even if being able to live as him is a bit rare, nowadays. he's who you are, job aside and job be damned. he's the little boy that set you onto this path, and the little boy that always, always drove you to become better. bright-eyed and bushy tailed, that kiddo was the one that was always so infatuated with the idea of catching criminals and doing good in the world.[break][break]

until you really got into the thick of it, you had a pretty normal upbringing. none of that dramatic shit, really. you grew up with your family like any other kid, scuffling with your siblings and being a bratty little smartass. always had a mouth on you, but you knew how to hold that silver tongue of yours when it mattered.[break][break]

you finished your academics and eventually enrolled into a military academy. graduated, finished your obligatory service... applied to the secret services branch of your home region. from then on, it was just a matter of gathering new experience in a new setting. at first, you assisted others on the field, but you remember when you were first tasked with an assignment of your own.[break][break]

before you knew it, there were several more to come afterward, but the one you found yourself in charge of has, by far, been the longest.[break][break]

at most, the other assignments lasted in the ballpark of a few months, but this one? this one's been a while in the making. every day of this new life of yours so far has been nothing short of stressful, but you being you? you'd sooner follow the thread until you're forcefully taken out— whether it's by the people looking out for you, or otherwise.[break][break]
