Cull the horde. A relatively simple sounding assignment, compared to the amount of effort that it would require.

Should he have been smug at the fact that the league believed him able of handling it on his own, or annoyed at having all of the work dumped on him?

"...?" His steps came to a sudden stop as the hairs on the back of his neck rose.

A loud roar came barreling down from the tunnels as his eyes looked around wearily.

A horde of Paradox Pokemon were advancing through Area Zero, threatening to spill over into the Giant Chasm. It wouldn't have been Rocket's problem, had one of their outposts not been in the crossfire of their parade.

So here Dorian was, ready to wipe them out, before they got the chance.

As Dorian made his way through the caves, he'd spot not a Paradox Pokemon, but a familiar face. An irritant who was well known in Sootopolis.

"This day just keeps getting better!", Dorian remarked, a bloodthirsty grin on his features.

He turned to look at the source of the unfamiliar voice.

He didn't recognize the face, but the tone was unmistakable.

"I cannot say I agree." Gwyar said, half turning to the man. "You're a very unlucky man."

The man now had to deal with him, after all— a task greater than any single rocket could handle, in his humble opinion.

Dorian chuckled at the man's remark. "Oh, I disagree. I've been positively salivating at the chance to get at you, Officer Wledig!", Dorian called out to the man.

"Then you haven't encountered a Rocket like me!", the Mad Dog declared, confident as ever. "I've barbequed many-a pig in my career. And I'll take great pleasure in roasting you, Sir Oinks-a-Lot", Dorian jeered at the Galarian.

"That base attitude and unfamiliar face..." The blonde said, smile unshaken. ", I take it?"

The reports weren't kidding— the man truly looked brand new. But that wasn't to say it was for the better.

The man was nearly a decade younger than Gwyar, yet looked 2 decades older.

Quite the extensive procedure to undergo, just to casually let his true identity float about. He wondered what could've been going through the arsonist's head.

"I'm aware." He said, turning to fully face the other. "But then— they were not me."

Gwyar had no personal beefs— but given this man's history with a number of his colleagues... He would go ahead and pay him back in their place.

"Come, mad dog." He said while raising his hand, curling his digits at the silver-haired rocket. "I'll collar you properly."

This one wouldn't last a week in the slammer.

In solidarity with the former Kantonian government, the Hoennian military tribunal had a special 'chair' set aside for 'vets' of the Kanto-Rocket war like him.

"The very same! A pleasure to beat ya!", Dorian responded to the man's assessment with an unnerving cheerfulness.

Funny as it was, Dorian's facelift was an involuntary process. An explosion had ripped off the half of his face with the infamous scar. Thanks to 's powers, Dorian's face healed without his old burn scar. As for how old he looked, growing out his beard, and dying his hair grey did wonders to make him look much older than he did. Came in handy for not only passing himself off as someone else, but allowing dumber foes to underestimate him.

"Oooh, feeling particularly gallant today?", Dorian teased. "Not even those fools in Interpol could touch me! What hope do you have to win?", he inquired, a cocky grin on his features.

If Dorian had a shot at , the Mad Dog would've gladly taken it. For some reason, the two had always seemed to miss one another. Even when Dorian partook in the failed invasion of Verdanturf, he never ran into the disgraced Interpol Agent.

Dorian began to advance on the Galarian, putting his guard up for the upcoming melee.

Unfortunately, a horde of Paradox Pokemon began to pour in, converging towards them.

"You got lucky!", Dorian declared, as he sent out his Charizards to handle them.

Unfortunately, Dorian's execution would wait a little longer.

"Sure I did." He said whilst smiling, his Aegislash shooting out of his shadow to clash with the oncoming horde.

He wouldn't have thought any gods or stars out there were looking out for a man like that, but then, rocket wasn't lacking in avatars— clearly, 'gods' couldn't be trusted to make good decisions.

Dorian, and his team, ended up becoming separated from Gwyar in the ensuing chaos. Despite this, the Mad Dog, thanks to the firepower and experience on his side, managed to handily wipe out the Paradox horde on his end.

In the aftermath of the battle, the Mad Dog found a unique set of tracks. The Mad Dog took out a camera, snapping a picture of the tracks.

Perhaps someone at the Lab would know what they were.
