[break][break] the travel hadn't been difficult, but it had been long, and he felt dead on his feet as he hauled his last bag just outside of his room. the pokemon were completely ignored, outside of cyrus' attempts to not step on one of the caterpie that had seemed to gather in the hallway. it felt like he was in some ultra-complicated dance routine; sidestep one, sidestep five hundred. [break][break] a few awkward half-steps later, and he had made it to his door. there was a sense of relief as he reached for the keys, prepared to sleep for the rest of the year, and swung the door open- [break][break] just to completely pause. and blink a few times. [break][break] somehow, through some miracle or something determined to spite him specifically, there were caterpie in his room. seven, actually. the logistics of it don't make much sense to him- someone had to leave a window open or something- but that is, for now, the least of his worries.
