The redhead just listens. After a moment, she relaxes back into the saddle, letting its back hump support a back. “Huh.” There’s a pause as she mulls her next words over. “I have no idea what music my mom likes.” [break][break]They’d spent a lot of time together, sure. But they’d never really talked. At least not about Jesse McKenna. It kind of made her feel like a dick. Not as big of a dick as dear old dad but a special kind of douche.

Hell, she didn’t even know her middle name. She doubted she'd ever even laughed at a meme Madd had sent her. “I’ll have to ask her some time.”

Madd stared at the muscular beast before her. She can feel the power in his limbs. But she can see why speed’s not his thing. The guy’s built like an ancient temple. Designed to hold up throughout centuries but not to race into the sunset. “Makes me glad nothing’s chasing us.” Except for that guilt gnawing at her like a cancer. It was a judgement far worse than that of any courtroom. And even the fastest Pokemon in the world couldn’t escape that.

At the talk of powers, she runs a finger down one icy spire. Just contact with it makes her shiver. Amber eyes watch carefully, in case the horse wants to frostbite her fingers off. “That’s a pretty cool power.” Her attention shifts to a nearby river. “Especially with all the water here.” When the seat titan is brought up, Madd tries her best to whistle. All that comes out is a stilted raspberry.

Her cheeks turned pink. “My cousin ran into it last week.” Luckily, no one had died. She wasn't sure what would have happened if she never saw those emerald eyes again. “I couldn’t imagine doing it on purpose.”

As he spoke again, the redhead fought the urge to roll her eyes. It wasn’t like she needed a babysitter. But she didn’t exactly plan to tell him that. “Works for me.” There’s a pause as she turns to look at him again. “Thanks again.” Her lips pull upward. “Really.”

First the pep talk and now scaring off a Paradox Pokemon. The guy really was a hero. A real protector of the people type. And, worst of all, that meant his brother probably was too.
