it's been a while. [break][break]

and it's a shame that she wasn't able to fully take advantage of the safari zone. she seemed to have blanked out the last time, but this time she was rested, and she won't run out of time. hopefully. [break][break]

she walks with a sylveon, who's more than happy to accompany her trainer down the pathways. for once, the zone was open at night - likely due to their recent selection.

lo and behold, a beast. [break][break]

.. a small one. a yamask. there was a cute little icon for it at the front of the zone, so at least she knows what to expect. what surprises her is the fact that there is a variation of it, one that she wasn't aware of until more recently - what with paldea opening up the borders. [break][break]

though she doesn't pride herself in being a ghost trainer, the wandering spirits just seemed to float towards her. the fact that she works for a hospital be damned - it'd be a little concerning if it weren't even the tiniest bit melancholic to think about. [break][break]

so she throws one of the balls at it, not trying to think about it too much.

there's another one. [break][break]

a small fox, one that she recalls being notorious for their sticky fingers. thankfully, she didn't bring anything important with her - other than her ID and just enough money for the safari zone. granted, she only notices the little guy when they're crawling up her leg, hoping to sniff for anything to snag. [break][break]

she uses this chance to lightly tap the ball on the nosy pokemon. hopefully, that'll teach it not to go snooping around her things. [break][break]

they come out one by one. [break][break]

this time, a mimikyu. honestly, it's quite.. cute. save for what might be hiding underneath the shadow of the cloak, she always found the species interesting - the epitome of loneliness, to the point they're willing to become something else. yet, despite their admiration, their jealousy drives them deeper. it's an unfortunate relationship.[break][break]

though love and hate don't fall too far from one another. [break][break]

thankfully, she doesn't own a pikachu. it wants love and affection, she'll give it plenty. so she throws a safari ball at it, and it doesn't.. seem to be reluctant. if anything, before the glow takes it, it seems to let out a clear cheer of.. joy?
