The Safari Zone was an interesting subject, essentially an overflow trough for species who were too prevalent, or the remnants of captive over-breeding. Porter preferred his Pokemon to be sustainably harvested-- for lack of a better term-- from the wild.

Buuuut his team was also rather sparse, at the moment. His many travels made having a large team difficult-- customs was, by far, the worst part of cross-regional transit-- and all he had to his name at the moment were three babies, a crotchety penguin, and an angry dragon.

Safari Pokemon tended to be young and trainable, but also healthy and strong, which would be perfect for filling out his team.

Having Galarian Yamask as an essentially farmable Pokemon close to humanity was… certainly a choice, given their chaotic nature and propensity for possession. Porter frowned as Vanari spun the little spirit around in a hurricane. He hoped the safari organizers were taking proper precautions, doubting the ethics of it even as he reached for a safari ball.

“Don’t be cruel,” Porter cautioned, reaching for a safari ball before the poor fox could thrash too much.

Vanyari glared at him.

Porter’s voice trailed off when he looked up to see Vanyari already had the Mimikyu dangling in her talons, suspended by its lolling head. He sighed and reached for a safari ball.

“So much for the thrill of the hunt, I guess.”
