Robin laid out the blanket. This route had the softest grass. She settled onto the blanket and pulled around her knapsack to pull out her sando. The strawberries and cream inside were tantilizing. The picnic was a reward for all the missions she had been slamming through lately. Sinistea had worked hard, especially in the gym battles, and it was time to take things slow to avoid burnout or sickness. She had not cared for the nonstop nausea of last month.

Robin took the first bite of her sando while Sinistea chimed away, floating gently in the breeze. It was hard to remind herself of these mindful moments, but she owed it to her team and to Gwen to try. She was so invested in her lunch that she missed the presence of the canine pokemon until it was settled in beside her. It sat by her thigh like they were old friends, resting its nuzzle on her knee. She pulled a piece of her lunch and let it taste. "Good stuff, yeah?" She pet the pokemon as it chewed.
