Hopefully he tried to get back at her, and she pushed him into the mud and kicked him a few times. Saw how it felt to have it done to yourself.

This wasn't the ending June had in mind, per say. The Litten rolled over and exposed its belly, and who was she to say no to an exposed Litten belly? Even better, it wasn't a ploy. The small feline let her rub it underneath the sun rays, without a care in the world. "Annalise and Grigori will show up soon, right?"

"Right?"

Litten had no answer, but it purred reassuredly into her hand. And that would have to be enough, she supposed.
