Alright, first up's a Fletchling. While vastly unimpressive for Fenelle, dee has heard there might be someone searching for this pokémon around ... so dee would try to capture it. Dee flexes der arms, stretching their noodliness to the max, before starting a swing- and another-

The Fletchling just stares at dem as dee wildly circles der arm, until she eventually grew a bit tired of the shenanigans there. She opens her wings to leave, just as Fenelle's finally releasing the ball at the weirdest angle possible, and-

-manages to hit the Fletchling square on her head. The ball opens and a red beam sucks her in. Now's to hoping she stays inside ...

Fenelle allows demself a breath of relief that this wild capture maneuver actually worked. Usually, dee is quite sure that the capture would be successful since der pokémon would guarantee it, or it's just about stealing a pokéball ... the Safari Zone is harder than dee thought. Of course, there's the option of sniffing out the pokémon beforehand, but ...

... nah.

It seems like the Mienfoo lingering nearby also smells Fenelle's bad vibes and decides to stay away. This in turn makes Fenelle frown, wondering if there's even that many pokémon around as advertised. Immediately, der phone is in der hands again, sending a text to Sailor.

There's one pokémon that couldn't escape Fenelle quick enough, and it's of the type dee has turned out to quite favour, actually. There seems to be a certain kind of familiarity between those, essentially, sentient machines and demself in ways of how dee really likes robots for autism-unrelated reasons (lying).

However, as dee sneaks up to it to catch it unaware, der motivations are fairly different - dee just heard about that one, too, that someone might trade something else for it ... and as dee is close enough, dee quickly throws a ball (without the whole spiel from before), and awaits if the capture attempt would be successful or not.

So they had fossils, too? is Fenelle's first thought as dee sees the Liliep, and almost immediately wants to step forward. But they halt, and stop. Maybe they should've asked for some treats from the Safari Warden and not simply neglected that to get into the zone as fast as possible ... now their only approach would continue to be stealthy, at least unless there's one dee really wants to bond with.

Which, generally, is a rather unlikely occurance. All pokémon here also seem to be their base evolutions, so nothing too interesting either ...

Carefully, Fenelle hides in the safari foliage, waiting for a moment ... waiting ... before they throw the safari ball as hard as they can, hoping to catch the Liliep.

Fenelle sprints to pick up the safariball that's containing one shiny liliep now, quickly going through the odds in der mind. Dee wonders for a second if there's increased odds here, or if dee just has been incredibly lucky. If it's the increased odds ... curious what this might imply.

Curious is also a Pichu that has showed up, looking at Fenelle with the biggest plate-sized eyes dee has ever seen in a pokémon that, even to dem, barely reaches der knees. What's up? dee signs, just for fun, but the electric rat just continues staring, seemingly unfazed. For a moment, dee is tempted - however, no. Smell ya later, dee signs (or the signed equivalent of it), before departing - maybe there's something else more interesting out here ...

Fenelle balances that one remaining ball in der hands, knowing that der time in the safari zone is rapidly coming to a close. One final one ... and dee grins as dee sees the cat pokémon from afar. Knowing that this will evolve and gain a dark typing, dee has the perfect trainer for it in mind.

Once more, dee decides to actually put effort into it, stealthing and sneaking until an opportune moment would come ... to strike! A ball is swiftly thrown - der efficiency has peaked now since the lousy start - in hopes of capturing the Litten without any issue.

(Later on, dee would realise that dee could actually bring pokémon into the safari zone, dee just had to be careful about the environment.)
