On the outskirts of town, donning her sygna suit, Yuina sat with Daikenki who worked on making sure his seamitars were sharpened and prepared. He worked masterfully, carefully, dragging the edges of his blades along the shells on his forearms. His true craft came out when it did come to his blades, weilding them with such care and ease.[break][break]
Yuina looked out for a moment, sat on a rock, waiting to see if Eris had been able to find her. An opportunity to see a friend again, after being forced apart and thrust into the waking nightmare they were all a part of was welcome... It had been a couple of weeks, but that didn't make the weight of what had happened any less burdensome. Hopefully with a lighthearted training day they would be able to set that weight down together, if only for a little while.

[attr="class","eris109"]With how intimately Eris has come to know Petalburg, her people and the vast expanse of forest surrounding her, there are very few people that can escape her whilst in the city. Especially when they're paired with such an unforgettable partner pokemon.[break][break]

"Yuina!" A bright smile, a hop in her step, a wave. With a bag firmly strapped to her back and her usual adventuring outfit, she very much resembles someone about to go on a long excursion. "I brought snacks!"[break][break]

And as always, Reiner is by her side, his resting face unreadable even as he draws closer. At the very least, he stops to offer Daikenki a nod, a greeting from one fighter to another. From what he understands, this is meant to be some sort of training session. Pity that he's to sit out on this one.[break][break]

"You look cool..." Non-stop chatter. It's like all the words she'd been holding in that prison suddenly come gushing out. "Is that your sygna suit? What can you do with it??"

Only a handful of moments more passed, a warm summber breeze brushing through the grasses, before Yuina looked out to the cheerful call of her name. She smiled to match, a genuine smile, seeing Eris again outside of the dim darkness of the base levels of that ship...[break][break]
"You spoil everyone with all of your snacks Eris," Yuina returned as Daikenki stood with her, sheathing his blades for now as the Samurott looked to Reiner. Daikenki chuffed in return to the Luxray's nod, acknowledging the feline in kind.[break][break]
"Yeah, its my suit for Daikenki and I," Yuina confirmed, already feeling herself easing into a normal, just her and Eris, hanging out together, like nothing had happened...[break][break]
"Uhm, well, I'm not really sure what all I can do with it? We haven't really had an opportunity to see," she offered.[break]
"That's why I figured, today could be dual purpose. Daikenki and I get to see what our link can do, and you and I can work on some sword techniques."

Not that she's ever needed to in these parts. Reiner had quite the formidable death glare, and strength to match.[break][break]

"I have a sygna suit with Reiner too, and it lets me do a whole bunch of cool stuff as long as we're together." She nods, a hand running over her waist sash as she gently unhooks a pokeball. "It's like... you kinda feel each other! And you know what they're gonna do next and everything goes WHOOSH! And BAM! And BZZT!"[break][break]

Over her shoulder, Yuina would probably catch the way Reiner raises his brow, then sighs as he covers his snout with a paw. This, of course, leaves the emerging Doublade with a ton of questions as he looks towards his trainer.[break][break]

"So uh... yeah! It's definitely something you'll get when you get into it!"

The smile was impossible to keep at bay as Yuina listened to Eris' very informative and uniquely hers explanation of what it was like to don the power of a sygna suit. Reiner might not have been as enthused as his charge was, but Eris and the Luxray worked well together, Yuina knew that already. At every juncture that she met Eris at, the feline was right there with her.[break][break]
"You should definitely show us one day what you and Reiner can do, maybe that'll be our next training session? I know he and Daikenki are very different, but sharing a bond with a sygna suit should be kind of the same, right," Yuina wondered, it would be good for them to draw experience from others who have had their suits and links for longer periods of time.

Her enthusiasm shines through, just as brightly as the day she'd brought her homemade miniature railgun (that was really only strong enough to shoot coins) to show-and-tell. "Sygna suits are like... well, it's just like it says. Sync stones? Sync? You and Daikenki would just kinda, get that vibe. Same wavelength! Or at least, that's how it goes with me and Reiner!"[break][break]

There were no need for whistles or clicks, much less words to get their thoughts across.[break][break]

"We've been together since we were babies! Sometimes, it feels like he's my cat twin and I'm his human twin!"[break][break]

Reiner may snort, but he also nods at the absurd description, for it's the closest thing he can describe their bond to be. Her finger brushes over the button on her pokeball, a shiny Doublade released from within. Purple and gold ribbons coil around her wrist, the ghost quietly latching to her soul but not quite feeding off her energy.[break][break]

"For now, you're dealing with me and Jack! And he's plenty strong, especially since Isaac trained him to be my knight!"

In that way, she supposed she was right. Being able to link and bond with a Pokemon that way, regardless of what their species was, was very similar across pairs. It was the way their energies, their minds, their spirits connected, and while that by itself manifested in many different ways, the basic concept was the same, to become one.[break][break]
"Well that does explain for you two, huh? If you've been together for that long, through some of the most formative years of your life, its no wonder that you're bonded. I'd be surprised if you would have ever needed a sygna suit," Yuina joked, but was that entirely untrue? Avatars were out there without sygna suits to tie them to the Pokemon that chose them. It wasn't out of the realm of possibility?[break][break]
With one seamitar with Daikenki and the other clutched in Yuina's hands, Eris took up her own sword, a Doublade that wrapped itself around her wrist. She was ready.[break][break]
"Alright, let's see what it's like for a knight to battle a samurai," Yuina nodded. Daikenki chuffed, taking his seamitar into his paws and stood upright on his back legs. In a first, quick and swift strike, the otter lunged forward with an inside left thrust.

She's light on her feet, hopping a few times for a quick warm-up right before Daikenki lunges at her. Even though he's much faster than she can hop to dodge, Jack acts on her behalf, an Iron Head steeling against his blade and parrying it. Unlike Isaac, she lacks the weight behind her stance, forced to slide backwards as she lets out a whistle.[break][break]

A clean parry, blow for blow between Daikenki and the Doublade that clashed swords with him. Eris was pushed back a bit, sliding along the grass as Yuina swung her own blade in her hands, flexing her wrists.[break][break]
"Good, good. Widen your stance, and set your dominant foot back to anchor yourself to brace for a blow," Yuina nodded, glancing between Eris and her sword. Daikenki chuffed again, taking another stance, similar to what Yuina just described, demonstrating.[break][break]
"Go in for a blow," she encouraged.

[attr="class","eris109"]A brief moment of observation, another to consider the options as she gingerly shakes out her wrists. Finally, her left foot slid back as she tries to imitate the stance.[break][break]

"Feels a little funky..." But she gets the concept behind it. More importantly, she's able to keep an eye on her opponent when she does so. "So I just..."[break][break]

Find balance, ground her senses. Like how she trains with Isaac and Razz. The weight that briefly presses on her left heel shoved forwards as she springs forwards, the defending flats of her Doublades turned onto the edges as she pulls and slashes in an X.
