Thus far, Yuina was not doing well in working through coping mechanisms to try and separate herself from her imprisonment. But she couldn't be afraid and crushed by the weight of her shadows if she was too exhausted to even think, right?[break][break]
Right... so the only solution was to throw herself into as much work as she could. And fortunately there was an inexhaustible resource for work and various exercises with the simulation system that the league continued to work with. Surely it could run her to exhaustion before she would run out of scenarios.[break][break]
Setting up the session with Gwyar Wledig, he and Yuina were thrust into the constructs of the simulated world, sprawling jungle forming around them, lush and bright and... so impossibly loud![break]
"Oh, not this again," Yuina shouted, trying and failing to cover her ears, she remembered this situation well from another time in the simulated world... The Scream Tail just never let up.[break][break]
"If you can help us clear a path, Roble should be able to get it," Yuina called, unsure of Gwyar could hear her truly, but Roble the Electrode emerged from his Pokeball, unphased with his soundproof ability, and he began to roll through the jungle floor to work his way towards the Scream Tail, explosion imminent.

Gwyar dragged his gaze over to the woman's pokemon, noting the familiar silhouette with a dark smile.

"Very well." He said with a nod, his shadow briefly darkening before an Aegislash lunged out, flying through the air. "

It cleaved a path through the dense jungle for the woman's wooden Electrode to traverse, gladly allowing it to blow the bloody screamer to Kingdom Come.

Gwyar didn't much care for having his ears bleed, after all.

A resounding Kaboom but an end to all the screaming, mercifully.

His ears are still ringing, but he nonetheless manages a smile towards his companion whilst his Aegislash returns to his side.

And then a resounding snap shattered the sudden, blessed silence.

The world beneath their feet shuddered and creaked, the earth unearthing itself as it began to rise and turn, throwing them on their asses as the whole world flipped sideways like a turning page— and then fell forth towards the sky, threatening to crush them against the clouds.

"Bloody he—!"

Bobbing and rolling over the jungle floor, Roble successfully managed to make it through the foliage at the aid of the Aegislash, and as Yuina grit her teeth together at the horrible screeching, she braced herself that much more for the impending explosion.[break][break]
Her ears were ringing... But eventually there was silence as the Electrode slowly, wearily, made his way back towards the pair. Thank goodness...[break]
"Good work Roble," Yuina muttered, her own voice muffled to her ears as she returned the Electrode, but she looked to Gwyar and kept close... For she remembered what would come next. The world folding in on itself, giving way to dark corners and nothingness beyond was terribly unsettling, feeling like they were about to get crushed.[break][break]
It wasn't real... It wasn't real... and Yuina wished that she could feel so certain of what still awaited her in the outside world.

No matter how many times she worked through the simulated world, as each shift took place, it was still just as jarring as ever. Yuina held her breath as the jungle closed in on itself, and no sooner had she felt the crushing feeling in her chest, the changes were made.[break][break]
She and Gwyar were thrust into the streets of Slateport city, a seige was taking over, manic, destructive, overpowering...[break]
Yuina looked to Gwyar first, she had never seen this part of the simulation before, and every part of her wanted to fight... But there was so much lost already, entire buildings were being torn down, was... Was there anything to fight for? Would they be alone if they tried to stand against the onslaught that marched right towards them?[break][break]
She didn't like it... But Yuina moved to step into marching order, maybe they could infiltrate the opposition from the inside if they joined in for long enough?

Gwyar matched her gaze. There was nothing there, the man unperturbed by the chaos.

Simulations were not real, and he had read plenty on the rocket invasion of Slateport. There was little to gain from this particular segment of the simulation; so he believed at any rate.

He nodded at her, matching her step as they fell in line with the invaders. Better to avoid any unnecessary conflict and just get through the simulation as fast as possible.

It was all truly deplorable, reckless, unabashedly aggressive. For wanting to encroach upon a territory, in order to maintain its borders, they were sure doing great work of keeping everything in one piece...[break]
Yuina kept close to Gwyar, she could only watch as everything crumbled and surged around them at rockets attacking everything in sight. She didn't attack, she couldn't, but she desperately wanted to fight them off... There were just so many, and it wasn't real, it wasn't real... They just needed to get out.[break][break]
They were at the cities edges now, amongst the warehouse district, the wilderness beyond couldn't matter to the rockets trying to finish off their march.[break]
"I think this is our chance," Yuina remarked, ducking away into the darkness of shadow behind an old warehouse building, and biding time for the march to continue on without them.

"Indeed." Gwyar said, eyes narrowed as he observed the silhouette of a long dead, forever wanted man descending into the shipyard.

He had never met the man in person, but his reputation and his many misdeeds had painted a vivid picture of the sort of beast pretending at man lurked beneath the skin.

It turned out, there was nothing for them to do, however. They were merely to either fight or become spectators. The world slowly began to fade to white, the virtual reality around them dissolving...

The simulation states that the Pokemon is a Koraidon: a muscular, ferocious dragon able to break the earth with its fists. No other data exists pertaining to this Winged King. Curiously, it seems paired with you.[break][break]

A roar rattles down the tunnel. Another Koraidon stomps toward you in apex form, its fierce plume and twisted antennae flicking about like whips.[break][break]

You're in the middle of a territorial dispute and there's no way out.

Moving quietly down the abandoned streets, shadow from the warehouses began to consume them both until they were shrouded in darkness. Just as quickly though, Yuina and Gwyar were surrounded by the illumination of tera crystals that glittered within the cavernous depths they had just come into, the final portion of the simulation.[break][break]
Beside them, a striking red dragon stood, yellow eyes fixated on something in the near distance. Another much more imposing red dragon lumbered towards them, clearly squaring up for a heavy fight as the two dragons roared and snarled at each other. The simulation stated that they were paired with one of the red dragons, a Koraidon. If they were partners, that surely meant they needed to fight together and defend each other.[break][break]
"I guess we're fighting for territory," Yuina remarked to Gwyar as she drew out another pokeball, releasing Omura into the fray. The ceratops glowered and swung its great crest side to side, displaying itself against the plumage of the other Koraidon, ready to attack.
