El would readily lead the way for the other three, as Akero's Defog kept the worst of the howling sandstorm around them at bay. Though their cane wasn't best-suited to the sand, a compression sock and brace helped make sure they weren't overexerting their bad knee as they trudged alongside their feathered companion.

Really, it had been by chance that they ran into the others in this little make shift team. But that being said, they weren't about to leave anyone behind, or squander the possibility of safety in numbers. All they wanted to do was - after having heard of gargantuan pokemon seemingly rising out of nowhere - make sure that no more innocent passerbys are hurt by these grand sentinels.

Thus, their goal was to try and chart some safe passageways through the endless sands - or otherwise figure out some way to calm the guardians that lurked here.

Ezra wasn’t a greater good kind of guy. As long as the five people he cared about made it, the whole-goddamned world could burn. So, he didn’t volunteer for this shit out of the goodness of his heart. No. Someone had come into Icarus bragging about what they’d found out in the desert. It sounded like something worth looking into—a beast The Pits would pay a metric tonnage for. That and beating the snot out of something bigger than him was always a riot.

“If I was any closer, it’d be 2nd base.” Somehow, he’d found himself being led around by a goddamned cripple. Sure, he was disabled too. But you didn’t see him trying to peg-leg his way through a desert. He pinched his nose. “We’d get there faster if you got on the chicken, non?” His prosthetic arm curls in his leftmost pocket as he steps around a stone.

At his side, a Houndoom strolled. She looked regal—like royalty among dog kind. The perfect snout with the perfect curve to her form and an athletic, lithe form. Her haughty expression was enough to give Kalosian anarchist twitchy fingers. Around her neck was a spiked collar. A name was engraved on its side; a nickname to be precise: Cass. The fire-type offered them a bored, domineering expression each time El fell. Her mad eyes occasionally slid almost hungrily to the Togekiss.

Not one to butt heads easily, the Unovan had to do her best to bite her tongue at the Kalosian’s holier-than-thou attitude. Yet the moment another snarky comment left the man’s mouth, a remark at El’s troubled way of walking, and her Togekiss being a chicken, Brynn finally had enough and snapped. Politely.

”You want them to get on your back? How kind of you to suggest that.” she quipped, rolling her eyes as pushing past the man to help El if necessary. Her Lucario followed a little behind, its focus on anything but the group itself. Its eyes and senses laid beyond, wary of potential threats laying beyond the curtains of whirling sand.

The group she’d joined were all practically strangers to her, a chance meeting when she had wanted to see what exactly the desert had been hiding that warranted rumors of grand guardians and hidden treasures. She’d not thought to bump into so vicious a sandstorm as this one however, so having teamed up with these three seemed like a blessing in disguise.
