The sweet, sweet taste of nicotine graces a pair of lips outside the Lilycove Department Store, a puff of smoke blown upwards after the drag, leaving one face quietly relishing that high. The smoke always felt better than the sobriety by the end of it.[break][break]

Story for another time. Job today.[break][break]

Cigarette butt dropped, squished under his nice shoe, he turns towards his mentor today. "Got the deets. Here boss," he chimes with an accent suiting the Unovan cities, passing a small paper, drawn on it a exuberant diagram of the store layout in full. On it were three X's with a blue pen, one for each stone that had an cost, all in a convenient little box. A door for the breakroom, and a trio of cams.[break][break]

Oreo pops out from a drawstring bag sitting on Blake's back.[break][break]

He points further to the paper, to the three X's. "It's glass, so nothin' a little baseball bat can't handle. But if we wanna stealth it, Oreo and I got some ideas." Oreo cackles from behind, the little trash panda ready to work its pins out of its fur.[break][break]

"However you want to take it, boss." Blake pulls his facemask up.

- After finishing a cigarette, Blake hands Cillian the diagram of the store, he had already cased it. Not bad at drawing.[break]
- Door to the breakroom, three stones that are pretty expensive marked in a display with xs, and three cameras.[break]
- Blake asks if this is a gonna be loud or quiet. His Zigzagoon Oreo has some tricks if its a quiet hit. But a baseball bat if its loud.

Cillian's own cigarette smoke wreathes him in a smoky haze, absent today of its usual MIASMA hues. Zorua's ILLUSION offers him the benefit of disguise, that he might stand outside of the department store without having Lilycove PD swarming the area.

He takes the paper and gives it a cursory glance. To an outsider looking in, it could be someone showing him a receipt. Nothing to spare a second look.

"Much as I love to cause a scene," says the underboss with arid humour, "it will go smoother if we don't get caught."

Cillian stubs his cigarette out on the side of a metal trash bin before tossing the butt inside.

"Do keep the bat handy, though. Just in case."

He gestures, silently suggesting Blake ought to take the lead. He was the one with a budding plan, after all.

Ah, smooth like Santana, now that's talk Blake likes. Much as he'd love to test his batting average, a red home-run sounded like not his type. Too messy, and no guarantee he'd make it to home plate. So, when the Underboss gives the real shit, he leans back against the wall.[break][break]

"Now that's what I'm talkin' about," his Unovan accent thick with a particularly cocky look in his eyes, he peers back to his bag-coon, and finger-guns upwards to the sky. "Triple-decker me, Oreo." In moments, three PIN MISSILE pins fire out, digging into the wall, and Blake snatching them quickly between his gloved fingers.[break][break]

Budding plan was right, and as he hoists both pins up his sleeve, he shoots a playful wink, as he bounds around to the door, opening it with a chime, as he tosses his bag by the door, undone. "Trust the process." He's in in just a second, and leads right to the front clerk, beginning to mindlessly flirt.[break][break]

The moment Cillian opens the door, so long as he did, Oreo would sneak in, and just as the chime happened, he would drop the pins onto the ground.[break][break]

Where Oreo snatched them up in his mouth, and eyed the special little stones, staying underneath the cameras, and in the shadows as they moved.[break][break]

Systematic.

- MASKED UP, Blake understands the stealth approach, and has Oreo fire three PIN MISSILE pins from behind him.[break]
- Grabbing the pins, and leaving the bag outside, Blake asks Cillian to trust the process, and goes to flirt cutely with the clerk.[break]
- Soon as the door opens next, Oreo runs in, hugging the counter, before snatching the dropped pins. Blake keeps the distraction up.

Rather than comforting, these words send up alarm bells in Cillian's mind. He's heard it all before, usually before something goes terribly wrong.

Well, it wouldn't be on his head, this time. Let the grunt prove himself, if he could.

He follows into the store with a casual gait, paying no mind to the Obstagoon that he knows is sneaking about underfoot. Any who'd seen him lingering outside might've assumed he was simply having a last cigarette before indulging in a shopping trip, and that wasn't strictly untrue.

He just wasn't going to pay for the goods.

Little Oreo the Zigzagoon continued to play around, as Blake threw his hand through his hair, and began flirting, distracting the cashier at the front. "Hey! You look fantastic today. Makeups on point, look at you, all put together!" He pulls his mask down a bit, and gives the clerk a finger wiggle.[break][break]

Now, here's where it gets dicey. Oreo had begun his work already. Not having opposable thumbs meant the little guy had to be particular with his movements. His trainer had found potential blindspots, and as long as he holds a little control, and just fires two per, they could essentially cut the camera feeds.[break][break]

PIN MISSILEs shoot upwards, skewering one camera, Oreo beginning to move in the shadows to the next one.[break][break]

What's going to happen next, is the security will likely come out to check on those cameras. That's what Blake wants. The guard needs to come out and take a look, and once he does, all it requires is a little home-run on the ol' ballcap. For now though, he plays his part.[break][break]

"Job sounds so boring," Blake goes on, moving closer. "However do you pass the time, beautiful?" Flirting with a degenerate? Maybe. All of it is fake. He just wants to impress the underboss, after all.

He's close enough to hear Blake flirting with the cashier, and rolls his eyes softly at how easily she falls for the charm. There was no helping some people, was there?

He strides over to a stand of flyers advertising the department store's stock, sliding one out and idly leafing through it as if he really did want to know whether water stones were buy-one-get-one this week. From the corner of his eye, he spots a security guard exit the elevator.

The security guard arrives, and it's time for the show. Without looking, and a lot of trust, and Oreo has a third PIN MISSILE slice into the last camera, as the guard peers over. Their stocky build was tall, a barrel chest with beefy arms that could easily bench a Blake-and-a-half of weight. And he quickly made his way over, on foot to the most recent camera break.[break][break]

Blake moves his other Pokeball out of his pocket and hands it out to the cashier, a smile on his face. "Here, hold this! She's so cute, feel free to let her out!" With no eyes on them, he was safe to move accordingly. The cashier stared at the Pokeball, their cheeks red as can be as they analyzed the cute drawing of a little green cat drawn on the ball itself.[break][break]

Sinister intent follows Blake, as he drags the black metal baseball bat on the ground behind him. No eyes on them meant he had all the time in the world. As he pulled his mask down.[break][break]

It all played out so fast. Blake moved with such speed, he closed the distance, and threw all the force in his smaller muscled arms into striking a home run on the cranium of the security guard, sending him to a La-La Land of painful nightmares. In the same motion, the cashier drops the Pokeball onto the counter as Blake makes the move. Their hands are to their face, and from the drop, releases the Sprigatito, who wastes no time in a fast BITE to the neck. The screams are sickening for a moment, but Melon does what's necessary, and rips and tears. The cat screams with the ferocity of a tiny lion, and takes no time in digging those teeth in. The sound of shredding flesh fills the air.[break][break]

Blake slings the bat once or twice, and turns to Cillian Quinn.[break][break]

"Process trusted." He watches Oreo and Melon race back from the ground his way, and rub against his legs in a counter-clockwise circle. "Think I'm partial to a B minus. That wouldn't have worked on a smarter cashier. Charisma rolls and all that shit." But they weren't. And now the cashier and guard are either horribly maimed, or dead.[break][break]

And they could go buck wild and steal away.

- No cameras on them, Blake has the cashier hold his Pokeball with a cute grass cat drawing etched in. Walks over and smashes the head of the security guard with a bat. The cashier screams, releasing Melon for a very cronchy jugular BITE[break]
- Blake responds that it could've gone better, before commenting his charisma rolls wouldn't have worked on a smarter cashier. Now they can steal away all they need.

Cillian expects the violence against the guard. He, too, is poised to move in and assist should something go awry. What he doesn't expect is the horrible sound of a woman's throat being ripped out by a screeching kitten.[break][break]

He barely reacts to the violence and gore, but his lips are pressed thin.[break][break]

"I expected a little less of that."[break][break]

He nods to where the girl clutches her throat, but doesn't move to help her. Guards communicated with one another, and they'd eventually raise the alarm when the unconscious-or-dead man on the floor offered no answer to a check-in. Not to mention...[break][break]

"Imprison."[break][break]

His soft voice alerts the Zorua perched on his shoulder, who at once becomes visible as Cillian's disguise drops. It scurries for the doors and locks them with psychic energy.[break][break]

"We'd better be quick."

Blake shrugs. "Improv. You know how it goes." That was not improv. That was flat-out murder and assault. Still, as he quietly steps forward, he heads to the cashier for the keys, and jingles them.[break][break]

"There we go." he tosses the keys over towards Oreo, and smirks. "That'll do. Oreo, swipe."[break][break]

He moves with a bag.[break][break]

"Should be good from here, Underboss Quinn."
