He hasn't forgotten about his ex colleague. Far from it, as the first guinea pig to his strange editing powers, and the nature of how messily he'd done it, Neon had been keeping a close eye on him. Though Prince no longer, the media still covered him regularly due to his closeness with his cousin, Elise Calcifet . Still, he seemed rather normal. No mental breakdowns, no induced psychosis. He wasn't sure if he'd messed around with something else while inside his mind after all. But he seemed...normal. If sneaky. [break][break]

And it is over the course of months of careful observation, occasional check ins, and testing the limits of his new powers, does he figure out Remiel Calcifet was still up to his old tricks. Hiding things from leadership, holding ulterior motives. [break][break]

One day, he doesn't care about hiding it. And one day, Neon has become content with the extent of his shielding powers. So one day, he cloaks himself and follows. His patron follows close behind, eager for a rematch with a god dragon. It's easy enough to track, the streak of blue electricity leading like a beacon. [break][break]

Doing the work all by his lonesome. Or...was he? Remiel and Zekrom land harshly and move into their base, disappearing amongst piles and piles of cable. Neon landed delicately, slowing to a stop and moving to inspect any other entrances. As he's checking the windows, he takes pause to see the inside. [break][break]

He recognizes some of the faces, old scientists from before his own rise, but what's worse is the strange machine there were messing with. He racked his brain for reasons as to why Remiel was working with the Rocket he so badly hated. And why were defectors working with a League traitor? Anger moves to amusement. He drops cover at the same time he lays claim to pieces of rubble and smashes them through the ceiling. [break][break]

"Ohhh, you're in troouble~" he called out as his patron let out a shriek of a challenge, one of their feathers running through to add to carving open the little base. "How will dahlia goode react when one of her prized AQUA avatars is spread across every channel, tabloid, and blog working with terrorists?" He knocks on the modified helmet he's wearing. "That's what you call them right? Makes them sound more intimidating than they are. I don't see it that way." he said, looking down. "All I see are corpses." The threat in his voice is palpable as steel feathers orbit around him like his patron, ready and waiting to see what was still moving as he floated above it all.

He watches the prince get in front of his team. Admirable, if Remiel hadn't already proven to be a coward beforehand. They're all traitors anyway, what mattered if they scurried like rats? Or worse than rats. Ripping the roof off this lab felt like picking up a rock and seeing the bugs dart away underneath. He regards the blue sparks with clear annoyance, LED expression changing to reflect it. "Not that I need it, but you really think I came here alone?" he asked as the Galarian Articuno let out a shriek that echoed throughout the immediate vicinity, disturbing whatever Ultra Beasts in the nearby vicinity. They rise, eyes glowing as it blasts a FREEZING GLARE at the Zekrom, ready for the attack. Wind whips around Neon as his patron charges forward beginning their own assault. [break][break]

Neon's own body seems to glow wit psychic energy, brighter than just the bottoms of his feet that helped him float. Feathers pluck out of his seraphic wings and spin around his back like a deadly halo. "I'll make sure to kill you last so you can watch the lights in their eyes DIE!" Steel blades once again surge, a few shooting down towards the former Admin before two switch directions from either side and fly out to chase one of his staff. "Too bad you didn't kill me the first time." he taunted as the screams of fleeing scientists begin to fill the air between them.

"No, you just assumed you were in the right!" The electrical field stings, but it doesn't stop them. It just makes itself an obstacle. Like the beginning of a bad sunburn. Even so, he's not cowed by it. He drops to the ground, redirecting his attention and energy. [break][break]

Remiel's mobility over him would be an issue, but that had been blatant from before. There's a focus on the machine, probably because he knows Neon will break everything in sight. He moves towards him and his brain has to recalibrate. It's better now, he thinks. The paranoia, the visions. Remiel's face isn't luciano fisk 's or Silvano's. It's Remiel. "Ha! You couldn't even deal the final blow yourself!" he snapped back, electronic laughter mixing in with static form the electrical field interference. He steps forward without fear, splitting into two then three. The trio of Rocket Beasts run and jump in different directions. As The Exacting sets off the thunderbolts, they all dart in different directions. One left, one right, and one sliding forward, ducking low. Left? Poof! Right? Poof! It's Center- [break][break]

He rises with a grunt as his copies shatter, but Neon's already moved in and under rising to upper cut Remiel with a single feather he'd plucked himself. The wisp of a thing seems to hard in his grasp and reflect the lights with a perfect sheen. [break][break]

The violet bird screeches indignantly as Zekrom pulls it up into the skies. The psychic bird's feather ruffle and as their eyes glow as power surges. HURRICANE envelopes the pair as the G! Articuno batters at the Tao Dragon.

The copies surface and shattered just as quickly as the lightning bolts scatter. Neon needs to et in close, stay close. He's not had nearly as much practice with his own powers as the prince, and it shows in his reliance to physical which he is confident he can outmatch. He only needed a chance. His only solace is the environmental destruction and he angles further and further in the direction of the lap equipment his underlings were desperately trying to salvage. If he was shocked, let his subordinates suffer that fate as well. [break][break]

He doesn't realize the bolts don't dissipate, seeing the chain reaction a second too late. He's not sure of his chances in the air or how quick he can float away so instead the steel feather her has is aimed at broken concrete as he tries to ground himself somehow. Electricity burns bright through him once more and he lets out a static ridden, electronic scream, gasping hard as he tries to mitigate the pain by focusing on his breathing and shaking legs. He felt ill, hot and cold and smoky all at once. [break][break]

His knee gives out and he slides to the ground, preparing for impact only to rise, shaking as Remiel held him up. His breathing is harsh, quickened by pain and his vision swims before his helmet locks onto Zekrom's chosen. Then as quickly as he sees him he's gone, smashing upwards through the ceiling and up into the air with more force than he thought capable of the Exacting. [break][break]

As he soars into the sky, sputtering for breath amongst the storm, the G! Articuno glides and moves with impossible speed away from the Zekrom without flapping a single wing. A halo of feathers encircle the purple avian as it leads Zekrom on a wild chase. It glances- or rather senses its vassal's moment of weakness and screeches sharply, the sound reverberating through the nearby area as Remiel drops down. It's PSYCHIC NOISE meant to wake up and deter the dragon from catching up to it. [break][break]

Neon gasps, feeling a split second of clarity. A bubble of PSYCHIC energy envelopes him like a strange glowing shield as the orb is punched back down, tearing another hole through the roof of the lap and helping rip open the floor to the turbulent skies. The impact is violent but Neon forces the blue ball to bounce and throw him back up. "What the fuck do you know of Neon?!" The shield pops, and a flurry of feathers escape, glinting and shining attempting to scratch and tear at the Exacting as Neon caught his breath just a few feet above the lab's floor. His eyes are pinned on the prince, but the sound of screaming and rushing agitates him him enough for the beast to swat at the source of the noise. [break][break]

Without turning to see who he actually caught, more psychic energy lifts debris and machinery and tosses it haphazardly towards the people still inside. Remiel's words echo in his mind. He's not exactly human but- if he wasn't then why did he bleed and burn the same as one? Why did it all hurt the same? His patron had not robbed him of his humanity with their contract. He had only upped the threshold of pain Neon was subjected to. Remiel didn't know a damn thing about him. He'd never bothered to learn. He didn't know him beyond a researcher, and a grunt. This indignation of how far he'd fallen was insincere. "You can't help look down your nose...when you've got the conviction of a wet paper towel!"
