After falling on her ass three times in as many minutes, she was feeling less enthusiastic about the icy spelunking adventure she had set upon. Wiglett had tried to be encouraging as the two of them traversed the cave, but it only made her feel more frustrated. Travelling for Wiglett was easy given how they could ingratiate with the ground like their poke-cousins, but Clover was stuck using her stupid legs to walk on the cold, slippery ground. [break][break]

Also, she was lost. [break][break]

So, when they saw a guy up ahead, it was a no-brainer to reach out. "Hey! Mister? Can I walk with you? I'm getting a little turned around." She tried to scurry over, but given the small puddles of ice between them, they settled for a very, very careful placement of steps instead. One may even call it a waddle. "This is my first time here, and I have some regrets."

Caleb whirled around, surprised. And because he, too, had regrets - one of them being a lack of ice shoes - he slipped and fell, grunting as his knees hit the cold, hard ground.[break][break]
When he looked up, he saw a confused teenager standing over him, a bubbly Wiglett by their side.[break][break]
"Uh," he said, extremely awkwardly. "Yeah, sure." And then, as he pushed himself to his feet - hastily recovering the remnants of his dignity - he added, "I'm Caleb. Oh, and this is Mavli."[break][break]
Clinging to his back, said Bagon peeked over Caleb's shoulder, beady black eyes regarding the young person with an intense scrutiny - as if she were holding some silent trial. Then her mouth parted in a toothy grin, and she grunted with approval. Caleb glanced at her with a raised eyebrow, then turned his attention back at the teen.[break][break]
"What's a kid like you doing down here, anyway?"

Oh, yeah, introducing yourself is the polite thing to do. "Clover," they offer in return. They fall in line with Caleb, but her nose scrunches up at the word 'kid.' "I'm no kid! I'm seventeen!" She jabbed a thumb into her chest for emphasis, but she could hear how juvenile the defense sounded. Sure, they kinda looked fifteen sometimes but the Hoyeon aged gracefully, okay? Not their fault! [break][break]

Wiglett scurried off from the two of them, beefing with some Cetoddle. "What, are you like super old?" They squinted, moving a little closer to get a good look at his face. Unfortunately, Caleb was one of those adults who could pass for a variety of ages because he looked youthful but not, like, awkward like some young adults.
