the ranger's body is lifted with a psychic before being hoisted over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. he trudges to the side of the island, boards his milotic, and travels to the submarine.[break][break]

The leaguers on the boat jabber to themselves after seeing the lightning. One person had seen figures but couldn't tell who they were but made note to try and go closer to see if it had just been civilians in need of more help. That's when the lightning strikes and all of them were in a figurative shock rather than the literal one that one of the people had taken. The boat moves closer and one of the members recognizes one of the two, "That's THEO BECKETT!" she screams to the rest of the crew and now there is hesitance to get any closer. [break][break]

"Thats a Ranger's uniform right?" another questions as with how close they were it was easier to see more details, just not confirm who it was. There was chatter among them of what to do and if they should stop the underboss but the captain of the ship speaks up. [break][break]

"There is nothing we can do, whoever it was surviving that attack point blank would be impossible," the inform unknowing of the psychic shield, "We'll check the area then inform Head Ranger ollie morales, have him do a head count of his Captains..."[break][break]

It would be hours later before Razz would finally come to the waking world. Though just barely as his body was slumped in some sort of chair. However if his nerves were crying before they were screaming now. His good eye tries to open but everything is blurry, he closes them again as nothing registers, not even how he got here. What day was it? Did he fall asleep on the couch and just sleep weirdly? No his body wouldn't hurting this much if that were so. "Salem?" he calls for as once again he tries to move though as he does so the lingering shock and damage to his nerves hit and his body spasms. [break][break]

The shock was definitely a sharp wake up call to him as his eye widens from the pain. After it Razz slumps again breaths harsh and painful as everything hurt. Though he finally has the chance to see the room around him. It was basic, plain but more importantly completely unfamiliar. How did he? When...? Questions he didn't have time to think of as there was at least one familiar figure in the room. "Beck....ett?" he questions weakly looking more confused at his being there than anything else. The ranger seemingly unable to recall the war from earlier for the moment. [break][break]

Right now his body demands it go back to sleep, they were hurt and needed more rest. But as his mind seems to have registered while it spazzed out that his legs and wrist were bound. They were in danger so he couldn't sleep, he needed to escape. If everything didn't stop moving first. God he felt sick. [break][break]

"Where?" is all the strength his body has to question the Underboss. Everything else would have to come after as he just allows his body to be slumpped, save his movements for when it mattered most.

hours later, the cuts that once raked blood down his shoulders have been tended to, stitched and bandaged and hidden underneath a neat dress shirt. to the uninitiated, the underboss looks no different than he normally would, but those involved in the battle mere hours before would know the extent of his injuries.[break][break]

it is not rope that binds Raziel Beckett, but a toxic chain tethered to a lithe inteleon, its features veiled by the shadows of the room as it looms in a corner. it is not the inteleon that demands immediate attention, however, nor is it even theo.[break][break]

he steps forward, accompanied by a plump hypno, before offering the once-ranger a glass of water. he brings the glass to their lips, helping.[break][break]

"Den why tied up... if home?," he counters back with a small slur to his words, his body just too tired to keep awake. He's running off the pure alarms being set off in his head, and yet his body couldn't react the way he wanted. He was barely functioning enough to register the other pokemon in the room. Though it wasn't like the other needed them to keep him in place so why bother?[break][break]

His lips stay closed when told to drink at first, just a pained muffled grunt escaping him as he tries to adjust and take more in. The water at his lips making him more conscious of the metal taste in his mouth. Though if the underboss put any extra effort of just lifting his head back and pouring the drink he wouldn't have been able to stop from taking it, his body too weak to fight back. And apparently too dehydrated from all the salt water to say no for long. [break][break]

"This... after... the diner?" he questions referencing when the other first called him out yet other memories pop up and things feel out of place. How long ago was that again? No he had just spoken to Ollie right? How did Theo get in his home? The lightning had messed with him quite badly and a few hours wasn't cutting it for recovery.[break][break]

"Why... bring me? When... I wont... accede?"

the extra effort is taken. water flows from the bottle and finds no resistance, aided by the slight tilt to the young ranger's head.[break][break]

"i hope you know i find no pleasure in what i have to do, but i'm afraid it is a necessity in order for us to continue forward together rather than against each other."[break][break]

though his words are directed at Raziel Beckett, his gaze is anywhere but. it remains tranfixed on the pendulum dangling from hypno that has yet to sway nor even twitch. but after a nod, the pendulum starts moving.[break][break]

"what do you remember of kanto?"[break][break]

And he's being handled yet again, literally this time when his head was tilted back for the much needed water. Razz only pulling away when it got too much for his weaken body as his head slumps again. "Why can't you just... accept I don't wan ta work wif Rocket again?" not him just Rocket, not that there was much of a line between the two. [break][break]

Yet the questions still come and he groans as he closes his eyes, not due to the hypno as he has still barely realized them being there. With the state of his mind and body, along side the toxic chains that bound him his nausea was through the roof. And the less senses he had to focus on the better. "Can't we just wait later fer questions?" he mumbles not wanting to focus, honestly not thinking he could as his body felt like it was shutting down. [break][break]

"Lotta pain tho... lotta feelin' over worked, an backstabbin' n'..." his words trail off into mumbles but Theo would be able to hear him listing only the bad from those years until his words were just mere sounds. A habit he has come to learn to do of covering up any good his family and friends had brought him back then. As it was just too easy to forgive if he had because that was how he was conditioned growing up, and conditioning had just taken so long to break. [break][break]

But they were not worth his forgiveness.

acceptance would never come for as long as he remains steadfast in his thinking. in his mind, the only one too prideful is the ranger before him, too stubborn to embrace the truth of the world.[break][break]

his voice dips into softer territories, hushed and oppressed by the steel room and their shared history.[break][break]

"Not all of it no," he grumbles but it still out weighted everything that was good. Though it doesn't seem like Theo would let him rest until this little session of theirs was done. So he gives in for now, make it easy so he can sleep and fight later. [break][break]

"There were games... dad used ta make fer studying.... I liked the poker nights for those," though he doesn't know if that's the first thing Theo would want to hear. Yet that was also part of the problem left right and center was always just the overbearing presence of his father, good and bad. "I liked your fake missions after a bit," because at first doing nothing just stressed him out, "Twas nice to have a break," because god knows he needed them when everything else was too overwhelming. "I don't know what else you want," he mumbles again as his brain didn't understand this line of questioning. Was he suppose to list the good times with his brother? Or when jayden cross came over? Or before the 'backstab' the way Cillian Quinn would actually interact with him in the labs? [break][break]

there isn't anything there. was kanto truly that terrible for razz? is theo so conditioned that he can see nothing but the positives of a war-torn region?[break][break]

"your memory fails you, but no matter." he sighs, perhaps a part of him had hoped this could still be avoided. "memories can be rewritten."[break][break]

after a nod, the swinging pendulum starts to glow a murky purple as hypnosis begins to take effect.[break][break]

"what?" Razz questions as his eye opens to look up at the other in panic. A sharp pain covering his body at the sudden movement causing him to cry out. It wasn't that his memory was failing him, he could recall several of his good times but why didn't the other understand his own problems with those so called good times!? The Hypnos' presence properly registers now at the alarms and panic and he closes his eyes.[break][break]

"NO! I don't want this!" he cries out now trying to move, tip the chair, anything. He didn't care how much his mind and body protested against the movement. [break][break]

He just needed to escape before it was too late.

there is no escape. the chair may tip and fall over but the toxic chain never falters. it remains tight, its interlinking chains binding.[break][break]

He fights as hard as he can but there is nothing to be gained from it. The chains hold strong and all he is doing is hurting himself to no benefit. He finds himself unable to keep his eyes closed the whole time as the pain at time makes his body spazism and its when his eye locks with the Hypno does the attack make its effect. Now its a mental battle and he still tries to fight, ever the stubborn child. [break][break]

His good eye is locked with the way it swings and like on command does his body faulter. [break][break]

"Please Theo...." he pleads with the other, as his body gets heavier. [break][break]

"Not like this...." but he knows his words would fall on deaf ears. Because why should his feelings matter? It was always about what others wanted. And with that final thought in mind the Ranger Captain it out like a light possibly for the final time.

words fall on deaf ears. pleads descend into oblivion, lost in the space of nothingness. with his back turned to the young man he knew as razz kingsman, the underboss steps away, leaving the room to let his hypno work in solitude.[break][break]

some time passes before he returns to the room. by then, the chair has been propped back up and shifted to the side of the room by a desk along with other furniture that make the foundations of a bedroom.[break][break]

he stops by the bed.[break][break]

"wake up, raziel."[break][break]
