I was there with Aaron Toral , Captain AIRI WATANABE , and Gym Leader DESIREE BLOOMS . The one that engaged us was a big, pink and purple bird. I tried to mount it and wear it out... and after that, my mind's a blank. I don't remember anything between then and waking up here." Were Cillian Quinn to use a psychic Pokémon to verify, he would be able to confirm Shalin was speaking the truth as she knew it.

Hearing Cillian's threat, Shalin grew worried for Naomi Sato , her only real lifeline within this underwater prison. She was the only Rocket she knew that truly understood both sides, and in her eyes, wasn't brainwashed by the syndicate. "You remember... Meteno, don't you? We can work together if it comes to it. And you know it."

Cillian's answer was that of a true leader. One who understood the nature of Hoenn's true enemy. "So you get it, too. We shouldn't be fighting against one another. We should be fighting against the DRK Triad first. Once they have been handled, if you continue to antagonize us, expect no mercy in kind." Though she had second thoughts about sharing her experiences there, the time she had spent with Cillian Quinn as Finn, on top of her purity and honesty, outweighed her discipline to keep her mouth shut about potentially sensitive matters. "...How much time have you spent running around inside the RKS Simulation? Have you noticed anything... unusual happening with it of late?"

So that was it. In Shalin's eyes, Rocket valued blasting away the League over everything but its own survival. There really was no reasoning with Rocket's upper management. The war would not end until one side was completely razed. And with how many gods hung their chess pieces on both sides of the aisle, the scope of the conflict could be beyond what any of them imagined.

The change of topic to the RKS Simulation made Shalin notably more comfortable. As comfortable as one could be locked in a prison cell. "Have you heard of someone named the Curator? Was at Lilycove Museum. Had fossils of undiscovered Pokémon. Presumably undiscovered. Didn't recognize any of them. She had two Unown I'd never seen before. She wore a Sygna Suit... synced to a Pokémon I've never seen before." She described the Curator's Pirouette Forme Meloetta, a Pokémon that Cillian Quinn may have known was impossible for current suits to sync with. Even Arc Suits.

Indeed, it was a huge discovery. A discovery that, if they could get their hands on the fossils, could lead to brand new Pokémon the world had never seen being brought to life for the first time in eons. "I just wish I could recall more details. The RKS Simulation makes remembering things... challenging," she lamented, wishing she could describe the fossils a little more.

"I couldn't pinpoint a time, either. Just the location," she admitted, obvious to the Underboss that she was being truthful. She left the discussion at that, though if Cillian pressed the issue, there was her encounter with Naomi Sato . Perhaps the one higher-up in Rocket willing to bridge the gap between the warring organizations...

The difference in demeanor between Cillian Quinn 's two personalities was frightening. Finn was a personality she wished she could get back... but now that the truth was out, that personality was gone. Forever. "That was the most unusual thing I saw," she replied, though she had seen a few different things throughout the simulation. Things that were well-documented and Rocket would certainly know about.

"The only other recurring thing I've experienced there was being a Gym Leader," she revealed. "It let me share the joys of my Sygna Suit with other people -- a Gym that let challengers test every form of Pokémon energy humans can harness. A Sygna Suit's Infinity Energy, Mega Energy, Z-Energy, Dynergy... all of it. And if Finn is still in there somewhere, I know he'd enjoy the challenge." If he had heard of the tests Rocket had done on her suit, Cil might be able to infer exactly what went on inside the simulation!

An act it may have been, Shalin still liked it. To her, that personality was still real, fighting within Cillian Quinn 's conscience to escape. A conscience the Harbinger likely discarded long before being made one of the most evil Avatars in the world.

"Like I said, it's a lesser of two evils situation," Shalin explained, yawning from having worn herself out after a hard day's work and the intense philosophical discussion. "If we had a realistic third option or third party, that's who I would support. Because I don't like the way Rocket or the League are run. Either one of them. They're both exploitative. I just think one is less exploitative than the other, and that's the side I'm on." And if those were their stances, the next time the two would see other might be on opposite ends of a battlefield...
